Irrelevant, except possibly for the fact that Truman probably was one of
the wiser men we could hope to have in control of our nuclear arsenals.

We had replaced the democratically elected Mossadeq with the Shah and
given him and his secret police everything they needed to stay in
power.
It was a brutal, hated government that we had decided would rule them
and they hated us for it.
And in your eyes that makes the "Islamic radical nuts"?
