is god innocent |
After 40 years of life, and 36 of them not believing in a god, I have made a
deduction if you folow gods rule you die young, if you drink and smoke and have
fun you die old.
If there is a god he must be a sicko to make innocents suffer, if i could place
him in a court of law i would be grateful to find him guilty for offences
against humanity.
in the same context as the nazis.

there is no god so god cant be guilty of anything, but the human race
is guilty af being stupid and careless resulting in unnecessary death.

What is a crime against humanity is death. It is every human being's
duty to resist it. This makes suicide a worse crime than murder, and the
only one which merits capital punishment.

now that's good reasoning!

A lot of it has to do with stress. Stress will kill you faster than
alcohol or nicotine.

No, that's stress. Bad.

Sorry, but I as the defense council would have you removed as a unfair and
untruthful biased juror.

My aunt, who died of liver failure, and two of my uncles, who died of
lung cancer, might beg to differ with that assessment...

Well, we all die eventually. Yours could be a sob story if they all died
in their fifties or thereabout. But past seventy, who cares about the
cause of death?
BTW, my father died at 38 of a heart attack. He did not smoke and drank
normaly. My mother, OTOH, is nearing 80 and is in perfect health, and
she still smokes and drinks. As always, YMMV.

There's also the idea that there are more and less pleasant ways to go
that comes into play (as the saying goes, "I want to die peacefully in
my sleep, like Grandpa, not wide awake and screaming, like his
passengers"). Liver failure and lung cancer are two of the more grisly
and painful ways for one to die. Not to mention prolonged. In the case
of my family members, they were directly attributable to alcohol
abuse, and smoking, respectively. Neither one is a particularly good
idea, and both will almost certainly adversely impact your health.
BTW, my father died at 38 of a heart attack. He did not smoke and drank

Agreed. Andy Kaufman, a non-smoking health food advocate, died at 35
of lung cancer, but he, like your mother, is the exception, not the
rule.

Quite true. I'd like to stop smoking. But I saw a short documentary
about very old people (90+) the other day. I just don't want to live
like that : they are utterly dependant, sometimes mistreated, and they
seem bored out of their skull. They're full of "small" ailments : near
or total deafness, poor eyesight, etc. Too "healthy" not to be dead or
hospitalized, too sick to live on their own.

My hero is Churchill : he abused everything and died at 90.

A theist would probably say that Heaven didn't want him, and Hell was
