Is There Any Apocrypha That States Jesus Was Executed For Buggery? |
Some scholars claim that Jesus was condemned, not for heresy,
demagoguery, plotting, or crimes against Roman law, but that he and his
"men" were charged with homosexual acts and "bestial" practices, e.g.,
anal intercourse. According to the secretive scholars, Jesus's group
was infiltrated by what we'd call a "mole." But the group was not
unmasked until its efforts to lure Roman soldiers and other males into
a sexual "cult" came to the attention of certain Roman officials.
Once they learned of their betrayal, Jesus and his "followers" managed
to elude the authorities for a time, but Jesus is supposed to have been
betrayed by yet another "disciple," was captured, tried, convicted, and
executed for "grave immoral acts." This account is supposedly
contained in what are reportedly called "alternative Christian
studies," conducted by "sub rosa" historians based largely in Germany
and the Netherlands, with another associated group in Eastern Canada.
Their association is said to be named something like "Le Evologue" or
"Le Epologue" or "Le Eidologue."
Anyone hear of such "studies" or such a group?

No and I'm not sure the Romans would have minded.
It is known that other messiahs were executed for essentially the same crime
Christ (if he existed) was.
Calling yourself a god was treason to the Romans.
The BIG difference is that the messiah and *all* his disciples were
executed. The denial by Peter was fully justified.
One argument is that Jesus was not executed for the reasons given but for
another crime. His insane actions in the temple with the money changers
would have been enough to have him executed as a crazy rabble rouser.
If somebody went into a church today and drove out all the guys collecting
money it would be a similar but lesser action.
Church service can go on without them. The money changers were absolutely
essential to the services as they exchanged money with images on it for
money with no pictures.

Nope. But I would be surprise with the charges. You have here on arjw a
Woman by the name of Carolyn Gulley who claims all JW's are pedophiles.
Recently her husband was outed as a porn addict. Irony that she accuses

Therefore you are always going to have people making false accusation
against a group of people they despise due to envy. And the tool they
use is always: "crimes against children"
to engage a emotional response instead of a logical one.
People like Carol does this because they can find logical conivincing
arguments against the object of their hate.
The etaching of Jesus was not popular among those in power, but made
sense to the commoner. And the commoner is the powerbase of Roman
empire. You could see how they were threaten.

I've never heard of any such thing, but I can't imagine that the Romans
would care if a bunch of Hebrews were buggering each other. Roman
attitudes about homosexuality were very different from those of the
Hebrews and for that matter ours.
The Romans really didn't have the concept of "homosexuality." That
doesn't mean that men didn't pleasure themselves with other men from
time to time. To the Romans, as long as the person of higher status
was the "penetrator," there wasn't much to complain about. See Clark,
John R., _Roman Sex_, p. 13, 118. If an upper class man enjoyed being
the penetratee, that was a different story. That was sick.
So it's highly unlikely that Jesus was crucified by the Romans for
homosexuality. Don't confuse the Romans with Jews or Christians,
either of whom might gladly punish homosexuals.
