Islamic Fundies Want To Trash Egyptian Antiquities |

"A religious ruling condemning the display of statues has angered
Egyptian liberals and intellectuals who fear it could encourage
religious zealots to attack the country's pharaonic heritage. The
ruling was issued by the Mufti, the most senior religious scholar in
Egypt. Islam has always been wary of representations of the human
figure. Anything which could even remotely suggest idolatry is frowned
upon."
Just like the Taliban when they destroyed the Buddha statues in
Afghanistan, the fundies in Egypt are now starting to go after Egyptian
history. Anyone who thinks "it couldn't happen here" should just step
out of the way of the local christian fundies pursue their myth freely
and let's see where we are in 20 years.

There is no vaccine for this mind virus.
The virus goes through different stages.
When an adult infects a child the first stage is usually Santaloma.
I encourage people to think of names for the subsequent stages. ;-)
