I *loved* this bit:
-------
Meanwhile, several heavy clay tiles had fallen from the steeple and crushed
a car in the parking lot, Mrs. Cheney said. The wrecked car was parked where
Mr. Hardman had kept his family's motor home until earlier that day, when he
moved it because of problems with a nearby bees['] nest.
"That was the first miracle, that the tiles didn't crush the Hardmans'
camper," Mrs. Cheney said.

LOL!!

A miracle would be no more lightning at all, don't you think? Or at
least no lightning for a whole year or maybe even just a month?
No gods or goddesses can stop the lightning, so it's obviously beyond
their powers, no matter how hard people pray to them. Same for
earthquakes and hurricanes and tornados...

I would think that lightning hitting a building during a thunderstorm
wouldn't be miraculous at all. Probably the preacher started preaching
about thunder because it was right overhead.

Those really tall steeples on top of churches are like lightning
attractors the first place. Before the lightning rod was invented,
I'm sure plenty of churches burned up just because of those tall
steeples.

Iirc, before lightening rods were invented, buildings generally
weren't taller than trees, and thus weren't too likely to be hit.

Think about this for a moment.
Who was it that demonstrated the true nature of lightning by
flying a kite in a rainstorm? And what was his primary resulting
invention? When did he do this?
Now...when were the great cathedrals of Europe built?
Finally: which is taller: Europe's great cathedrals, or the
surrounding vegetation?
Cheers,

This is just too rich.
"It was awesome, just awesome," said church member Ronnie Cheney, 40, of
rural Forest, who was in the church at 206 N. Martin St. when the
lightning struck.
"You could hear the storm building outside ... He (the evangelist) just
kept asking God what else he needed to say," Cheney said. "He was asking
for a sign and he got one."
Christians are compleat idiots. Their god can do no wrong, even when he
does wrong. They think their god destroyed the church with a lightning
bolt, nearly killing hundreds of people inside, and it's a miracle.
Imagine what would happen if one of them actually went to heaven.
"Afterward, services resumed for about 20 minutes, but then the
congregation realized that the church was on fire and the building was
evacuated."
ROFLMAO!

Yeah. God had to be fed up of the words of a bad preacher. Let's *****
this jerks with one my my powerful lightnings, said the Lord. And the
god of Thunder threw off his bolt and put the church on fire. That
should teach the preachers as no to be such a pest as Fidel Castro that
made speeches of more than three hours. Sermons should be light. The
best speeches are not longer than two or three minutes.
