Good News!
Do you know how simple it is to go to Heaven after this
life has ended?
Some people believe that belonging to a local church,
temple, mosque or synagogue will get them to Heaven.
Others believe that water baptism, obeying the ten
commandments or just being a good person will get
them to Heaven.
There are many other beliefs as well, but the good
news about God's way to Heaven is found in the
Holy Bible.
The good news is that God came from Heaven to earth in
the person of Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago and
died for our sins(misdeeds). He was born in the land
of Israel supernaturally to a virgin Jewish woman
named Mary. He lived a sinless life for thirty-three
years and then sacrificed His sinless blood and died
on a cross to pay the death penalty for our sins.
After Jesus was placed in a tomb He rose from the dead
three days later as He said He would. The Holy Bible
also tells us that Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven
and that all who accept Him as their Lord and Saviour
will live forever with Him in Heaven where there is no
more death, sorrow, sickness and pain.
The Bible says, "For the wages of sin is death, but
the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus
our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
This verse in the Bible says, "For ALL HAVE SINNED, and
come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
This verse says, "But God demonstrates his own love for
us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died
for us." (Romans 5:8)
In this passage the Bible clearly explains how simple it
is to be saved and on your way to Heaven, "For if you
confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in
your heart that God raised him from the dead, you
WILL BE SAVED." (Romans 10:9)
You can be saved right now and on your way to Heaven if
you will open your heart to Jesus and pray the following
prayer:
Dear Jesus Christ, I want to be saved so that I can have
a home in Heaven when I die. I agree with You that I am a
sinner. I believe You love me and want to save me. I
believe that You bled and died on the cross to pay the
penalty for my sins. I believe that You rose from the dead.
Please forgive my sins and come into my heart and be my
Lord and Saviour. Thank You Lord Jesus Christ for
forgiving me and saving me through Your merciful grace.
Amen.
You are now a Christian if you said the prayer and allowed
God to save you. Welcome to the family of God.
Salvation is not a reward but a gift. The Bible says it
this way, "For it is by GRACE you have been SAVED,
through FAITH and this not from yourselves, it is the
GIFT of God." (Ephesians 2:8)
Nothing in the world is more important than your eternal
destiny.
The Bible says, "In Him(Jesus) we have redemption through
His blood, the forgiveness of sins..." (Ephesians 1:7)
If you have not yet made a decision to be saved, please do
so now before it is too late. The reason why it is so
important to be saved now is because you do not know
exactly when you will die. You may die prematurely in a
traffic accident, terrorist attack or some other way before
you get another chance to be saved.
The Bible tells us that we will spend eternity in Heaven or
a place of eternal torment called Hell. It would be terrible
to die and go to Hell when all you have to do is accept
Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour.
Some people that have already made Jesus Christ their Lord
and Saviour worry about losing their salvation. The Bible
teaches Christians that we can never lose our salvation no
matter what happens.
The Bible says it this way, "My dear children, I write this to
you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin,
we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense
Jesus Christ, the Righteous One." (1John 2:1)
Yes my friend, Jesus Christ is able to save you and keep you
saved.
Please tell your family and friends, thanks!
Have a great day!

GENERAL ALT.ATHEISM INFORMATION
1. All are welcome in this newsgroup whether they are
atheist or not except if they are trolls or proselytizors.
2. Proselytizing of ANY religion is NOT welcome.
Those guilty of this bad nettiquette will be treated
as they deserve to be treated.
3.When responding to a long message, please try to
remember to reprint only the part of the message you
are responding to. Also, please don't respond to
another message without reprinting the part you are

responding to if you don't do this. Also, set your
readers to mark reprinted text as quoted and be sure
to retain the attribution (that's the < or << in front of
each line) to show who said what.
4. All subject threads with the letters aa in front of
them are intended for atheists only. If a theist should
respond to one of these threads and an atheist wants
to respond to the theist, the atheist should remove
the aa if the theist has not done so.
5. The Party Thread and aa Party Thread are for discussion
of any topic that is off-topic for this newsgroup. These
threads may also have OT (off-topic) at the beginning of
the subject line. These threads can be funny or serious.
The Party Thread started with a discussion of a virtual
party six or seven years ago and is only found in alt.atheism.
6. Cross-posting to more than five newsgroups at any one

range of interests and attitudes. So, don't feel compelled
to respond to every message. Pick a few representative
or unique messages that look like they might lead to
interesting conversatons and try to stay focused, at least
until you get a sense of some of the responses and they you.

life has ended?
Are you sure? Jesus said, "Strive to enter by the narrow door; for
many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able. " Luke 13.24
Some people believe that belonging to a local church,
temple, mosque or synagogue will get them to Heaven.
"I am writing these instructions to you so that ... you may know how one
ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the
living God, the pillar and ground of the truth." (1 Tim 3.14-15) You
won't get to heaven all by yourself without the Church. It existed
years before the New Testament was written. In fact, it was the Church
that wrote the 27 books, and as such it belongs to the Church and is
only understood in the context of the Church.
Others believe that water baptism, obeying the ten
commandments or just being a good person will get
them to Heaven.
What did Jesus have to say about such things? "Truly, truly, I say to
you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the
kingdom of God." John 3.5
"A lawyer stood up to put him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall
I do to inherit eternal life?" He said to him, "What is written in the
law? How do you read?" And he answered, "You shall love the Lord your
God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your
strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself." And
he said to him, "You have answered right; do this, and you will live."
Luke 10:25-28
I see your creed above is basically echoes the Nicene Creed but with
certain important omissions, such as the Holy Spirit. Before it was
ever determined which books belonged in the New Testament, the Church
adopted its confession of faith, The Nicene Creed in 325 & 381 A.D,
which continues as the official confession of faith in Catholic,
Orthodox, Anglican, Lutheran, Methodist, Reformed, and many other
churches comprising the vast majority of Christians today as well as in
all it's 2000-year history.
Didn't Jesus say, "Not every one who says to me, `Lord, Lord,' shall
enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who
is in heaven." Matthew 7.21 Along with that consider James 2.17-19: "
So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead. You believe that God
is one; you do well. Even the devils believe -- and tremble."
Amen.
So I must first do the "good works" of admitting I am a sinner, believe
God loves and saves, believe Christ died and rose from the dead for me,
beg forgiveness and be thankful. And to all these good works of faith I
must dutifully pray the sinner's prayer.
You are now a Christian if you said the prayer and allowed
God to save you. Welcome to the family of God.
I thought you implied that the Church ("family of God") is unnecessary
and purely optional. You may hopefully be on your way, but you've got
quite a ways to go. You become a member of the family or household of
God through an act of God namely baptism. As Jesus said, "He who
believes and is baptized will be saved" (Mark 16.16) We are never
saved alone but with the family. Christianity is never just a "Jesus
and me" affair.
Didn't Jesus say, "I came that they may have life, and have it
abundantly." Jn 10.10 Salvation's bottom line is not a ticket to
heaven,
but rather an abundant new life that begins in the here and now. Your
scare tactics are more than obvious to the readers of this NG, and if
anything, will only further convince them that Christianity operates
by manipulating through fear. Take this word to heart, "There is no
fear in
love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with
punishment, and he who fears is not perfected in love." (1 Jn 4.18)
Some people that have already made Jesus Christ their Lord
and Saviour worry about losing their salvation. The Bible
teaches Christians that we can never lose our salvation no
matter what happens.
The Bible says it this way, "My dear children, I write this to
you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin,
we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense
Jesus Christ, the Righteous One." (1John 2:1)
Yes my friend,

mention the difference between a friend and someone you've never met nor
spoken to in person.

Interesting how the "good news" means exactly bupkus unless you also
accept the "bad news" about everyone heading for Hell.
Of course, us atheists don't believe in that, either, so what you
present to us as "good news" is "nonsensical blather."
