Vanunu was at the time a British citizen, writing for a British
newspaper. He was set up by a Mossad agent who pretended to be his
girlfriend, enticed to Italy with her for a romantic vacation and
kidnapped to Israel where he was tried for espionage - when he had
never been a spy.
The British government's lack of reaction at the time was telling. But
Thatcher had her own problem with whistle-blowers showing her lies.
If he had been in Israel at the time, telling secrets to a foreign
government you might have a point.
But he wasn't, and you don't.

The reason they are being released is they are not dangerous,
vis-a-vis, they are civilians, non-combatants, professionals and
farmers. They were imprisoned without due process and without
