Amadán na bruidhne
Celtic
Known as the fool of the fairy mounds or palaces, he is greatly feared.
Due to inability to administer the fairy stroke, which can cause
paralysis, death or crippling, he is an entity to be cautious around.
Its quite probable you would not wish to invite him to your next
drinking session or barbecue because he is most active in June.

ITYM an ability, not inability.

My first conure was named Amadan. I had bought him for my mother; she
didn't live long enough to see him or even learn I had gotten him for
her. He was a very sweet and loving little bird. He died four months
after my mother.
According to my research - nowhere near as good as yours - amadan can
also simply mean "clown". Because of his bright colors and charming,
funny ways, it seemed a good name.
