It is absolutely stunning............... |
...............in that the average atheist lacks minimal grasp of the beliefs of
others of the existence of Almighty God, and of his becoming man in the person
of Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for the redemption of man from his sins and
to **restore** salvation to the souls of mankind.
The average atheist is rock bottom is that very basic understanding and yet runs
around rejecting the existence of almighty God. On what basis?
Atheists lack even the basic rudiments of knowledge of God, yet carry on to
untold lengths with total lack of supportive evidence for his beliefs.

It's very simple -- you limit yourself to only one book, and then you
further limit yourself to only certain passages within that book. You
don't want to read or think about the annoying, silly, unbelievable

Me, I'm somewhat partial to the miracle of the demons cast into
the pigs. I figure that's the part where Satan took control of
Jesus for a bit. I mean, there's no way the love god would torture
and drown a bit of innocent pigs, is there? Nah. Gotta be
Satan. After all, Satan's the expert on demons, ain't he? It's
only natural that Jesus would gladly step aside to let the real
expert handle things.
But I'd have to say that the best is when--now get this, it's
great!--God, in order to proclaim the end of pain and death for
innocent people, he--really, it's quite unbelievable--has an
innocent person _tortured_ and then _murdered_! It's a gas,
really. Exactly the sort of thing you'd expect from Satan. Cause,
without the whole twisted redemption bit, it's just the story of a
dead guy nailed to a dead tree, and the God who killed them
both. Put *Satan* in there, and it all makes perfect sense!

We are fully aware of " the beliefs of others ..."
We also note that most don't believe the basic Christian view and that among
Christians anything beyond this basic view is not well agreed on.
We don't share any of those beliefs, just as most share few of the beliefs.
Our basis is the evidence presented by history and all science.
WRT christianity, many of us have read the book, read the rules and read the
promises.
Then we've watched the Christians.

The average Christian is a person who experienced something traumatic in
their life. It could be a jilted priest, the death of a pet hamster, or
having never been to a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. In other cases, a
Christian could also be an individual who is so stoked on irrational
beliefs, that they simply cannot bear to think that an imaginary father
figure doesn't reign over their every thought and action.

beginnings of Reason can be found in thousands of books written by man,
not just one (also written by man).

They have looked thoroughly at the bible, and have seen the many
inconsistencies in it, and say if this is the "word of god", then it is one
fucked up god.
If you want to worship someone that asks people to MURDER their only child
like the ":loving,caring" christian god does you go right ahead. I don't
worship people that ask others to kill their only child.

empty talk, writing, etc.
swill n. 1. garbage, table scraps, etc mixed wtih water and fed to animals,
especially pigs.
