Object: It is absolutely stunning...............
...............in that the average atheist lacks minimal grasp of the beliefs of
others of the existence of Almighty God, and of his becoming man in the person
of Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for the redemption of man from his sins and
to **restore** salvation to the souls of mankind.
The average atheist is rock bottom is that very basic understanding and yet runs
around rejecting the existence of almighty God. On what basis?
Atheists lack even the basic rudiments of knowledge of God, yet carry on to
untold lengths with total lack of supportive evidence for his beliefs.
Stunning.

You're missing the point. It's not the particular beliefs you have, it's the
fact that they are beliefs in the first place. You're asking me to accept
the existence of god because you really really believe in it, while I don't
see any evidence whatsoever that what you believe in is anything more than
wishful thinking. As charming as you are, I just can't bring myself to join
you in your hallucinations. You may continue to be stunned.

There are all sorts of plausible scientific theories about the big bang that
have nothing to do with magic and the supernatural. I like the one about

A good, concise link.

It is. I only know about them from a layman's book on quantum physics I read
in the '80's. The chapter in that book (The Cosmic Code) where the author
describes the big bang (and conditions preceding it) based on the current
theories is one of my favourite pieces of writing in the English language.
Or the Hebrew language.

ok, so neither you nor I know.

But at least this theory is plausible, and it's foundation is verified by
scientific experiments. And your reading on the subject is all of a few
quotes on a webpage (if you bothered to read them), and your understanding
of virtual particles is below minimal, if you've never heard of them before.
So your comments on the subject are the equivalent of a kindergarten child

But the universe was created. Science has professed that. it's call
the big bang.

The big bang simply says that, at some time in the past, the universe was
very small, and very hot, and then has been expanding since. One
*hypothesis* is that just before this the universe came into existence. We
do not have the knowledge, and may never do so, to conclude that the
universe "began" then. Much less that it was created by something.

Actually it was infinitely small.

Nobody knows this for certain. We don't understand enough about the
nature of space-time at small length scales to say this.

How?

Well, if everything in the Universe came into existence at that point
(including time), it is meaningless to speak of "before" the Universe,
and hence the "cause" of the Universe, or "how" is meaningless also.

We
do not have the knowledge, and may never do so, to conclude that the

Actually it was infinitely small.

Nobody knows this for certain. We don't understand enough about the
nature of space-time at small length scales to say this.

Sorry, but action reversal demands a return to the infinite. We just can't
declare "zero" closer than asymptotic approach.

How?

Well, if everything in the Universe came into existence at that point
(including time), it is meaningless to speak of "before" the Universe,
and hence the "cause" of the Universe, or "how" is meaningless also.

Hey, your light is finally coming on. What is left is creation, which takes a
creator, a supreme creator no less. Let's call the Supreme Creator God for lack
of a better name.

But I will entertain (pardon the pun) funny stuff from you as an
alternative to God.

Unfortunately, I don't think I could come up with anything as funnier
than the idea of believing in a creator god!

Yet you pushed the door wide open above.

WTF is "action reversal"? Google doesn't come up with anything useful.
Define your terms.

Hey, your light is finally coming on. What is left is creation,

The second word of my sentence was *if*. It is not known whether the
universe had a beginning in the big bang.

which
takes a creator,

If that "if" was definite, creation *by a creator* is by no means a
logical conclusion - you are equivocating on the word "creation" here -
meaning it in one sense to refer to the big bang, and in another sense to
refer to "something created". There is no evidence the universe was
created, and your word play won't help you dodge around that lack of
evidence.

Go on. You've paraphrased Aquinas here, show that you actually know what
comes after that.

Why does it demand a return to the infinite? It's possible that the
universe contracted down to the size of a tennis ball, then exploded again.
Last time I checked, a tennis ball is not "infintely small."
Of course, this is all conjecture, much like "return to the infinite" is
a conjecture.

Hey, your light is finally coming on. What is left is creation,

How can creation exist "before" the universe?

which takes a
creator,

....which couldn't exist "before" the universe...

a supreme creator no less.

Question, duke, how do you define "universe"? Sane people define it as
"all that there is." If there is a "before the universe" then it would
be "before all that there is." Therefore, God or whatever this thing
is, cannot exist "outside" the universe. Before the universe, there was
nothing.
If this "God" thing did exist outside the universe, then God does not
exist. Nothing can exist outside the universe.

Let's call the Supreme Creator God for lack
of a better name.

Let's not.

But the universe was created. Science has professed that. it's call
the big bang.

Here Earl uses the term create in a manner he argues against when presented
with the correct translation of Genesis.

of Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for the redemption of man from his
sins and
to **restore** salvation to the souls of mankind.

Of course atheists understand why you believe in the existence of Almighty
God.
Some of us even used to believe it in ourselves.
And Santa too.

The average atheist is rock bottom is that very basic understanding and

around rejecting the existence of almighty God. On what basis?

Your premise is false.
We are not at rock bottom when it comes to understanding why you believe in
a god or gods.
I also understand why my five year old believes in Santa and the Tooth
Fairy.
Two basic reasons
1. We told her that they exist and are real
2. She wants to believe they exist and are real
Your beliefs are no more or less valid than hers.

Atheists lack even the basic rudiments of knowledge of God, yet carry on
to
untold lengths with total lack of supportive evidence for his beliefs.

I've noticed that the atheists in this group tend to seem far more well
versed in the Bible and religious history than most of the believers who
post here, so once again you are wrong.

Stunning.

Yes, it is.
