So I approached them and my neighbour and said I have a problem maybe you
can help me understand it. I asked them to read Numbers:15:32 and they did

found a man that gathered sticks upon the sabbath day.
33: And they that found him gathering sticks brought him unto Moses and
Aaron, and unto all the congregation.
34: And they put him in ward, because it was not declared what should be
done to him.
35: And the LORD said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death:

the congregation shall stone him with stones without the camp.
36: And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him
with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses.


Now after they had read this, the woman who was not religious was shocked.
Her reaction was, "But why did they do that?!" And yet the learned
religious assholes didn't think anything of it at all, their response was,
"What's the problem? They executed someone for breaking the Sabbath."

So then I asked them, didn't Jesus say the Sabbath was created for man

not man for the Sabbath? So how can God tell Moses to kill someone for not
keeping the Sabbath?

Then they started with their Old covenenant New covenant *****. So

I told them, I don't care what the covenant was when Moses stoned that man
to death, I know that is murder. Killing someone for such a victimless
"crime" isn't moral. It's like giving the death penalty to someone for
littering. The punishment doesn't fit the crime. In the case of a litterer
you can make him pay a fine or do community service of cleaning up litter.
In the case of the Sabbath breaker they could have put him in prison and
denied him making wages for some length of time if they really think the
Sabbath should be kept.

But it is just plain evil and morally corrupt to stone someone to death

the harmless act of gathering sticks on some Sabbath day, which in the

height of hypocrisy they call a holy day! A day for which people are
murdered for doing harmless things like gathering sticks!

Anyway the point is, the unlearned non-nreligous woman did not accept that
it was justifiable that they killed the man despite being shown that it

problem at all with the execution of that man
