Well, your mistake is in assuming that Jesus Christ was a descendant
of apes just because scientists of today claim he was. What he
actually said was that he was the Son of God.
When I say God, I mean the "creator".
If you read the OT, you'll see that God of today is a result of
evolution.
He started out as a God of mass-murders, , racism, sexism, rapes,
pillage, plunder, slavery and polygami.
That kind of god would never work in a modern society. Therefore the
God we talk about today is a God of equality between the sexes and the
races. Also, the modern god is supposed to be morally superior.
The funny thing is that this god that we humans have turned into
something completely different is believed to be the intelligence
behind our world.
