They're waiting for Rove to tell them what to think next. As
soon as Karl has figured out a way to spin the disaster as a
victory, their braying will resume with its usual fury.
Karl has already launched a damage control effort, of course,
complete with Orwellian overtones: on the lips of ever prominent
Republican is a plea for cooperation, as if the GOP had been
willing all along to work together with politicians of every
persuasion -- as if the GOP had not, for six years, utterly
disregarded the wishes and well being of hundreds of millions of
Americans.

It's taken me 2 weeks so far to read "Victorious Opposition" and I'm 2/3 of

That's the one. A good one-afternoon read. Maybe two afternoons.

I'm a fan of his too. I just finished "Victorious Opposition", and can't
wait to get to WW2. The problem is that I have to wade through my pile
of unread books first. He writes so many books, it's hard to keep up.

My problem is time. An hour spent here is an hour spent not reading.

simplicity: Atheism is merely the bed-rock of sanity in a world of madness."

I know. Since I've upgraded to DSL, it would really suck to go back. Of
course, you do have a point. In the time it used to take me to download

I'm vacillating. They say they're doing a "software upgrade" and allowing

them overloading their current system (resulting in lower bandwidth).
