I don't know about the rest of you, but today is a happy day for me. I
don't have to go hundreds of feet underground today and risk a horrific
death just to make a living.

I wonder if the family of the man who died thinks it's a miracle.

Something that happens now and again in the fire service is people who start
wildland fires. Some do it to get a job and others so they can find and
report the fire.
People have been hurt, some died and the dreams of many have gone up in the
fires.
But the people who start these fires work hard and are considered brave.
I guess that putting them in prison has been wrong, we should praise them
for their god-like work.

Once again, the Big G is in a win-win situation: All the credit for the
good stuff and none of the blame for the bad stuff. It's a wonder the
rescuers don't lynch the Rev. Jo. The bad stuff is a result of what the
insurance companies might call an "Act of God" but the rescue will be
the result of days of hard work in unpleasant conditions by a bunch of
men. There's only one team that deserve the credit, and they aren't
supernatural.

Nosterill,
The day we arrive is a miracle because it is the day we begin our
pursuit of life, our mission to do the work we came to do and the last
day is our day when we go home, from whence we came.
God does not punish, nor wish cruelty or hardship upon any of us. We
just experience life, be it marvelously good on some days and horribly
bad on others. We cannot blame, but learn acceptance, goodwill amongst
men, charity, kindness and live in expectation of hope and miracles
among miracles.
It doesn't mean we should not be joyous on the day of new arrivals, nor
should we not be sad or mounful of those we love who leave us.
