that true seekers that examine the evidence open-mindedly will be
persuaded to the conclusion that God exists. I don't believe that
faith is meant to be blind. Reasonable faith is a leap of faith based
on evidence like jumping off the side of the pool into your father's
arms when you were young. You didn't jump just to jump, faith for the
sake of faith, you were encouraged to trust that your father's words
were true and that he would catch you. You based your leap of faith on
solid evidence based on your prior knowledge. Such is Christian faith.

Remember, it is rational to believe when the evidence convinces you
that the conclusion is more likely true than not.
1. Whatever begins to exist has a cause; the universe began to exist;
therefore, the universe has a cause.
2. The fine-tuning in the universe implies a Grand Designer.
3. Raping women is wrong. This is an objective moral value. If God
did not exist, objective moral values would not exist.
4. We are born with desires that can be filled, e.g. hunger, thirst,
and sex. If we have desires that cannot be satisfied here, then we
need to look beyond the physical universe and see if God satisfies our
longing.

and safety) until you get hungry, then start eyeing up the market.
Eventually you get hungry enough that your basic need for security and
safety is overcome by a more basic need for food (physical survival), so
someone in the household makes a dash across the road to get food and a
dash back again. One week later repeat. About one time in four the
person braving the dash gets shot. How hungry do you have to be to make
that dash? Not all basic desires can be satisfied at the same time.
If we have desires that cannot be satisfied here, then we
need to look beyond the physical universe and see if God satisfies our
longing.

Reasonable and rational are generally not associated with belief. Your

based on actual physics and a metaphorical leap of faith based on

My opinion is the universe is the current state that obeys the laws of
physics and started with the Big Bang, prior to that there was an
unfamiliar state of physics that exploded into this universe. My
opinion is that no "God" was required for any of this, and "God" does
not exist, and never has.

I don't think the universe is "fine tuned" in the first place, and if
there is a "Grand Designer" he is drunk. There's no Grand Designer.
3. Raping women is wrong. This is an objective moral value. If God

Raping women IS wrong, if the mandate is for humans to live together in
harmony. We don't need "God" to figure that out, but I don't think it
is an "objective" moral value. It is just a moral value, period. I
don't think "God" exists, and yet humans have moral values, so morality
is not given to us from god.
4. We are born with desires that can be filled, e.g. hunger, thirst,
and sex. If we have desires that cannot be satisfied here, then we
need to look beyond the physical universe and see if God satisfies our
longing.
I'd say those aren't desires for food and drink, those are needs. If
you cant satisfy those needs, you die. As for sex, if you can't satisfy
that desire, you turn to God? Why don't you just masturbate instead? It
makes a lot more sense.
