A local priest pleaded guilty to having child pornography on his home
computer. Investigators found more than 200 images of child
pornography on Jerzy Sieczynski's home computer. Most of the pictures
were from sites with 12-14 year-old boys.
Detectives say Sieczynski was having big trouble getting online and
called a computer repairman. That repairman noticed the images and
called police.
Prosecutors indicated 55 year old Sieczynski lived with several other
priests at a home owned by the Catholic Church. Formerly a pastor at
St. Matthews, he was suspended after he allegedly exposed himself to
an undercover officer at a public park.
Sieczynski is facing up to ten years in prison when he's sentenced
next month and will also have to register as a sex offender for the
rest of his life.
Investigators don't believe he had any inappropriate contact with
children at the church.
