claim, and are by definition, evil con-merchants.

I think that is not atheist but anti-theist point of view. I'm
amused with the many ridiculous believes people have but I
also believe that people should be able to believe in whatever
they want as long as it doesn't hurt others. What bothers me are
those that claim they know god better than others (preachers).
Those that simply believe (aptly called 'sheep' in two of the
biggest
religions on earth) are the natural pray for preachers, many of
whom are, judging by their own actions, rather less than believers.
I strongly believe that preaching should be made illegal,
or at least indecent. An unreachable goal unfortunately.

object to their public stated CLAIMS, not the beliefs.
Their claims are entirely without rational support or evidence of any

such as deliberately infecting another person with HIV.

Most atheists are anti most theists. Theists who beat their kids.
Theists who refuse to obtain proper medical care for their kids.
Theists who force kids into virtual slavery (as in marrying 13 year
olds). Theists who start wars. Theists who steal from the poor. And
all in the name of their god.

Unfortunately most religion DOES hurt others.
