A man (21), who was arrested for alleged illegal possession of dagga,
told the Mbabane Magistrates' Court that he normally smokes the herb
to gain strength.
According to the court record, Bongani Sibanyoni was found in
possession of 26 grammes of dagga in his pocket by three police
officers on September 16, this year at Msunduza location in Mbabane.
Sibandze pleaded innocent to the charge.
He said: “Your Worship as I am a gardener, I heard that in order to
work hard and be strong dagga was the solution. Your Worship I have
decided that from today I will stop using it. As somebody, who grew up
in a Christian family, I will go to church for a prayer,” said
Sibandze.
