A former Marion County JUVENILE Detention Center guard was sentenced
to a year on home detention this afternoon for writing letters to a
female detainee.
Anthony Tyler, 33, was one of nine employees arrested in April on
charges including child solicitation, child molestation and sexual
misconduct with a minor.

Latoya Patton, 24, urged the judge to give Tyler probation only. She
is his fiancee and is pregnant with the couple’s second child. The
Rev. Kenneth Christmon, PASTOR of Providence African Methodist
Episcopal Church, which Tyler attends, also asked for a lenient
sentence.
