MERRILLVILLE, Ind. (STNG) -- A Merrillville man and his pregnant wife
were beaten in front of their home over the weekend by men who
allegedly yelled racial slurs at them while hitting them.
The couple, who are African-American, were pushed and hit on Saturday
night near their home west of Turkey Creek Golf Course. On Sunday
morning, the police returned to their house because they believe the
same men smashed the windshield of their car and dented it in various
places.
They also spray-painted the "N" word in black on the car, Merrillville
police said.
