FAYETTEVILLE, GA (AP) -- A former youth minister and school bus driver
has been sentenced to ten years in prison after being caught using the
Internet to proposition of a police officer who was posing as a
teenage girl.
Fayette County Assistant District Attorney Randy Coggin says
31-year-old Mohammad Bolton was also fined 25-thousand dollars and
will serve five years of probation. Bolton's is the harshest sentence
to be handed down since the Peachtree City Police Department began its
Internet sex sting investigations nearly two years ago.
Bolton was convicted Monday in Fayette County Superior Court of
violating the computer pornography and child exploitation act. Bolton,
a former youth minister at the Church of the Harvest International in
Jonesboro, previously worked as a community coach at a high school and
as a bus driver for the Clayton County school system.
