Quote:
"Look at all the people who hate me; most atheists, all

In other words, if you oppose Jason, especially if you do it much at
all, you hate him and you are a NOT a "Christian."
According to Jason:
Bible Bob is not a Christian.
"Pastor" Dave is not a Christian.
Frank Pericope is not a Christian (Jason even took away Frank's
believeandrepent.com email address).
....and lots of others.
Jason tries to point people to his site to affirm his "doctrinal
statement."
If you don't do that, you're not a Christian.

They *love* to be hated. The Bible tells them that people are going to
hate them. So, in the real world when people actually *do* hate them
(for being the obnoxious twits that they are), it reinforces the belief
that they're really, truly Christians.

He seems to have some sort of fire in the belly and a touch of

His family and circle of friends at church certainly provide more than
enough reinforcment of his xtian belief system. For him to really think
independently could only lead to total social rejection or worse. He
might lose his inheritance which could be substantial. It might require a
rather significant life experience for him to finally wake up.
An interesting thought crossed my mind. Since Xtians are so used to lying
to themselves and others, lying about almost anything must be second
nature. I wonder if that is what is wrong with my brother. He is a smart
fellow and a staunch catholic. He cannot reconcile the lies told to him
by his religion that he makes up more lies to justify the first ones.
Then he actually believes his own lies. I saw him do the same thing when
presented with the fact that his father got caught trying to seduce
another woman while still married. He could not deal with that fact so he
started making up lies to prevent that from happeneing in his mind and so
he believes his own lies. Today my brother lives in a delusional state of
half truths and half lies. The reason that our fathers playing around was
so abhorrent is due to the shame that he would experience if other people
found out our fath's infidelity. He put his father on a rather high
pedestle long ago and he will keep him there no matter what. He is
actually quite a sick person mentally and you cannot believe anything he
says even though he is most sincere and convincing when presenting these
lies to others. He makes it so believable. It almost makes one wonder
how far he will sink before he is fianlly committed to a home for the
insane. I would love to have a real psychologist evaluate and test him to
see if he would ever turn violent. I think if my brother were presented
with a situation that he could not resolve by lying, he would indeed kill.
Almost like "Psycho".
Will Jason suffer such a fate? I don't think so as Jason just isn't that
intelligent. He would argue that he is intelligent but the fact remains
that stupid people don't realize they are stupid.
Once one starts removing the lies from one's belief system and life, it
can only lead to someone becoming a staunch atheist. I did that several
years ago. I started examining all the little lies and superstitions of
Catholicism and once I removed them, there was nothing left of
Catholicism. Then I started to closely look at Xtianity and removing the
lies from it and found there was so little left that it wasn't a religion
anymore. Then I started looking at God and it didn't take long to
logically prove that the bible is nothing but a very few facts with a lot
of fiction thrown in. Once I realized that the bible has almost zero
worth and certainly is not inspired by God, then it wasn't long before God
quickly vanished in a puff of logic. I am so tired of people lying to me
that anytime someone tries to preach to me I get *****.

That's no excuse. My parents were fundamentalists too, and we were at
the church every minute the doors were open. I came to my senses, and
Jason could, too. Of course, he'd have to see *why* he should come to
his senses first, and secondly, he'd have to put in some honest effort
to educate himself. I don't see either one happening anytime soon.

Well maybe not an excuse but definitely a reason.
I admire you for coming to your senses given your upbringing. It was
considerably easier for me with atheist parents though they never explored
the philosophical reasons for atheism as I have tried to do. To them, there
was nothing more obvious than there being no gods. While atheism is
extremely obvious to me, I have greatly enjoyed exploring the issue,
listening to debates, reading articles and books, etc.
In re Gastrich, if he were to come to his senses, he risks losing his wife
and parents (all fundamentalists also) at least and likely siblings and
friends. It's a high price.

"Look at all the people who hate me; most atheists, all
non-Christians..."

In other words, if you oppose Jason, especially if you do it much at
all, you hate him and you are a NOT a "Christian."

According to Jason:

Bible Bob is not a Christian.

"Pastor" Dave is not a Christian.

Frank Pericope is not a Christian (Jason even took away Frank's
believeandrepent.com email address).

...and lots of others.

Jason tries to point people to his site to affirm his "doctrinal
statement."

If you don't do that, you're not a Christian.

Admittedly I'm definitely not a Christian, but hate? C'mon, I'm
laughing too much to feel hatred.

Yes, but to the egomaniac laughter is hatred.

That's silly. I'm sure the only people who hate him
are those who know him personally or are related to him. .

Apparently unless you agree totally with Gastrich, you're not a "real
Christian."
Which makes one wonder if he thinks he's some kind of pope or something...

Actually he's just another a protestant gone to seed. There's a huge
segment of believers who are as much western individualists as they are
Christian in their assumptions which entitles each one to be his own pope with,
of course, a Bible under his arm. No wonder there are hundreds of different
sects in Christianity when little consideration is given to "what has been
believed everywhere, always, and by all."
The Bible was written by the Church, belongs to the Church, and is to be
interpreted by the consensus of the Church, not by self-appointed preachers and
prophets.

I think it would go a long way to being looked upon favorably.

David,
I bought the book for $4.99 via Pay Pal and should have it around
March 15th. By March 21st I hope to be an Internet Genius. Oh, I do
hope he teaches me how to make money on the internet.
He will have to unplonk me so that he can answer my questions.

Please send me $14.99 and I will send you the reason why you should not pay
$4.99 for a book promising to make you an internet genius.
And then there's the $24.99 book telling you why you should not buy the
$14.99 book
And then there's the....
