Jehovah is a power tripping god |
That's because Jehovah, Israel's god, is a political god meant to
work in conjunction with the political ambitions of the state of
Israel. Over 2000 years ago, Israel's prophetes laid out a vision of
the future triumph of Israel and its god because that was the desired
future Israelies were being encouraged to hope and strive for.
Politicized religion was why Jehovahists claimed "our god is the only
god", which was a declaration of religious warfare on other people and
their gods,religions and philosophies and totally alien to the
religious tolerance of the Roman-Greek world. What other religions
threaten unbelievers with eternal tortures? So when Xians gained the
powers of the Roman state, they served the power trip of their adopted
god by destroying all non-Jehovah religions with laws, police,
military and Xian mobs. And today Xians, especially the one god, one
way types, are still immersed in the 2000+ years old future vision of
a triumphal Israel and therefore easily go along with those speaking
loudly for Israel's power interests i.e. the fundy US president
adopting neo-con plans as America's plans for the middle-east.
