George W. Bush is anti-science and has a federal government policy in place
to stop scientific stem cell research and other scientific and technological
innovations.
It is one thing to have religious values, which I respect, but it is quite
another thing to block progress with federal government interference into
such sensitive areas as DNA research for finding the cure of incurable
diseases that are killing countless millions of American people. What is
wrong with harvesting stem cells from already aborted fetuses? People donate
their dead bodies to medical science every day. Why do Anti-Science
Republicans want to stop stem cell research from occurring in the United
States? Scientists will just have to move out of the United States to other
countries to do stem cell research.
Anti-Science Republicans who would have us believe that being pro-science is
idiocy. They fail to understand that abortions have been safe and legal in
the United States since 1973. Abortions occur every day without regard to
whether women choose to have abortions or not or whether anyone wishes to
believe in the law of the land with respect to reproductive rights or not.
I suspect that the US is regressing into a third world status while the rest
of the world is becoming more advanced in science and technology.
Anti-Science Republicans really think it is quite intelligent to be
anti-science. Meanwhile, Americans cannot even hope to find a cure for
Cancer, Alzheimer's, diabetes, Parkinson's and numerous other incurable
diseases because Anti-Science Republicans think that scientific research is
stupid. Our greatest bio-medical research scientists will depart the US to
other countries, which encourage science and respect scientific research.
Science cannot be restricted by government decree, which the Anti-Science
Republicans have done to this great country.
But Anti-Science Republicans are deeply concerned that the Russians are now
developing far more advanced military aircraft, beating out the US in an air
show competition in India in June 2004. The US is not training the
tremendous need for new scientists, because President Bush has an avowed
anti-science public policy and has a political agenda to replace science
with Bible Biology.
IT IS TIME FOR AMERICA TO BECOME PRO-SCIENCE AGAIN.
