JOHNSON MSNBC APPEARANCE (WEDNESDAY, 6/1) CANCELLED,
"DEEP THROAT" COVERAGE
Media coverage of the "Deep Throat" story has taken over the lead media
position. As a result, the MSNBC appearance for American Atheists
President Ellen Johnson scheduled for today (Wednesday, June 1, 2005)
has been CANCELLED. We will advise you when it is re-scheduled, and
apologize for any inconvenience. There is often very short notice of
these programming changes.
(AMERICAN ATHEISTS is a nationwide movement that defends civil rights
for Atheists; works for the total separation of church and state; and
addresses issues of First Amendment public policy.)

Isn't this the second time in recent memory that Ellen Johnson has been
bumped from a promonant cable news show?
I'm too young to remember, but from what I understand the media used to
love shoving Madalyn O'Hair in front of the camera.

They really hate having a nice, attractive person as a representative
of the atheist community, don't they?

MMOH used to feed America's anti-atheist sentiment because...well...let's
admit it...she was obnoxious! It didn't matter that what she was saying was
sensible and true and passionate....the surface layer is all that would be
perceived by most Merkins, which is why she was so hated and the ghouls for
Christ gloated over her demise! I think Ellen has learned from the mistakes
of her predecessor!

That's what I meant when I said 'nice'. I've met Ellen, she really is a
nice person.
