Joshua 5: 9-12. 3-18-2007. |
Rites At Gilgal.
Then the Lord said to Joshua, "Today I have removed the reproach of
Egypt from you." Therefore the place is called Gilgal to the present
day.
While the Israelites were encamped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho,
they celebrated the Passover on the evening of the fourteenth of the
month. On the day after the Passover they ate of the produce of the
land in the form of unleavened cakes and parched grain. On that same
day after the Passover on which they ate of the produce of the land,
the manna ceased. No longer was there manna for the Israelites, who
that year ate of the yield of the land of Canaan.

So why don't you celebrate Passover then, padre?

Rites At Gilgal.
Rites? What kind of rites? Whatever it was, I hope they got it
right. You don't want to have the wrong rites. Right?
Then the Lord said to Joshua, "Today I have removed the reproach of
Egypt from you."
Hmmmmmmpf. And just when Joshua was getting used to it.
Therefore the place is called Gilgal to the present
day.
Makes sense to me.
While the Israelites were encamped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho,
they celebrated the Passover on the evening of the fourteenth of the
month. On the day after the Passover they ate of the produce of the
land in the form of unleavened cakes and parched grain.
Yummy.
That must be the rites. Right?
On that same
day after the Passover on which they ate of the produce of the land,
the manna ceased. No longer was there manna for the Israelites, who
that year ate of the yield of the land of Canaan.
'Bout time, I say. They couldn't expect to be freeloaders for
ever.
Regards,
Josef

1 Nephi 18:23 And we arrived at "the promissed land": Isra=EBl.
So the Gilgal in the Mormonbook Ether is the same as the Gilgal in
Biblical book Joshua.
The LDS church should spent their money in the excavations of the 12
stones of Gilgal in stead of financing a park with manmade stones in
America
