The abobe URL points to an excellent article on the subject.

There's an Arab cartoon in that article that makes a good point. Briefly, an
editor is looking at some cartoons and says "This one is anti-semitic; this
one is racist; these fall under freedom of speech [the ones about Islam]."
The editors are being hypocritical, it's true, but of course that's no
justification for rioting, death threats, and arson.
