Letters to the editor:
Kansas Kultists Do America a Favor
I can’t help but smile when I read about some Kansas public schools
seeking to teach children that evolution doesn’t happen some how or that
the fact of evolution is subject to belief or disbelief.
Steve Abrams does _my_ children a favor by actively trying to keep Kansas
children from learning science -- and from reading great literature which
the unfortunate clown wants to pretend is some how "pornography."
This is a good thing. My sons won’t have to compete with Kansas kids when
they enter the job market. While my sons -- who were given a good
education about science and from good literature -- will be the ones
working in the communications infrastructure careers, the engineering
positions of major corporations. They’ll be able to do that because they
acquired an education that included scientific truths about the
undeniable, directly-observed phenomena around them -- which includes the
fact of evolution.
At the same time my sons have learned the various _theories_ of evolution
which attempt to explain and describe the mode and venue of how the
directly observed phenomena of evolution happens. Scientific method has
prepared them for high technology, good paying jobs.
The students of Kansas who are subjected to Abrams' unfortunate
occultism-predicated superstitions? Well, the country needs "fast food
engineers," office janitors, and construction workers, I suppose.
For every Kansas student who fails to acquire a scientific education
because of Abrams, that’s just another student that my own kids won’t have
to compete with for high tech employment.
Thanks, Steve. My sons and I appreciate your efforts.

BINGO!
This thread should really be posted to a widely read Kansas newsgroup,

Unfortunatly, kids with educations are likely to
be paying subsidies to those without. It's the
American way -- punish success and favor failure.

As the Bushies demonstrate.
