Kathy Griffin tells Jesus to suck it |
Of course, E! won't be broadcasting it, so it's all over the news.
Kathy Griffin won an Emmy for "My Life on the D-List".
Here's her acceptance speech:
"A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this award. I want
you to know that no one had less to do with this award than
Jesus...Suck it, Jesus. This award is my God now."

This has already been stricken from her speech,
according to the Academy, due to a protest from
the poxy Catholic Church. American Atheists has
issued a protest and is asking for atheists and
agnostics to issue their own protest and not watch
the show. It's fine for theists to babble religion
when they get an award, but let one atheist dare
to take credit for what she's achieved and she gets
blipped.

While I agree with that sentiment completely, there was probably no need for
the "Suck it, Jesus" part .. that was just rude.
