GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. — The former director of a day care center
was sentenced to 17 years in prison for molesting children, some of
them in an employee-led games of "Truth or Dare."
Joshua Palin, 25, was also sentenced Tuesday to serve 10 years'
probation. He pleaded no contest earlier Tuesday to molestation and
other charges.
The victims ranged in age from 6 to 14, and included boys and girls.
In some cases, Palin "dared" children to fondle him or each other or
to perform oral sex on each other. The crimes dated back to 2002.
The sentencing brought to an end the sex abuse scandal linked to two
Kid's Palace day care centers owned by Palin's family and AFFILIATED
with the CHURCH where his stepfather is the PASTOR . Both centers are
now closed.
Bill Davis, Palin's lawyer, said his client entered the plea after
deciding it was in his best interest.

Girls are far more likely to be molested than boys. I read somewhere that
it was something like 1 in 4 girls to 1 in 6 boys. Of course paedophilia
has nothing to do with sexual orientation, but since do people let a little
thing like truth get in the way?
