Law targets school bullies |
What the hell is wrong with parents and school officials these days?
Laws that target school bullies? What ever happened to the good old
days where a good fist to the face was enough to back-down any bully?
The problem with children these days is that they never learn to deal
with life's adversities on their own; always looking for mommy and
daddy to butt in. What happens when they grow older is they expect
government to handle all their problems. This is how liberals are made.

(Columbia-AP) December 4, 2006 - A new state law that takes effect the
first of the year requires all 85 South Carolina school districts to
define bullying and outline procedures to track and punish students who
are bullies.
The push for the law can be traced back to a 1999 school shooting in
Colorado. Investigators have said the students who went on a shooting
rampage at Columbine High School were victims of bullying.
State Representative Ronnie Townsend says the Safe School Climate Act
gives "teeth" to school policies and defines bullying to include
behavior that has not traditionally been covered by discipline
policies. The law also directs schools to track intimidation or
incidents in which a student inflicts emotional pain on another student.

The problem with children these days is that they never learn to deal
with life's adversities on their own; always looking for mommy and
daddy to butt in.
Says the troll with 50 posts advocating the FCC butt in to everyone else's
TV viewing.
What happens when they grow older is they expect government to handle all
their problems.
Guess who posted these?:
"A powerful FCC is the only reliable bearer are standards. Congress has an
obligation to give this agency all the
tools it needs."
"Lack of decency in television programs is one of the strongest indicators
that the country is in a moral decline. Obscene or any otherwise indecent
programming should be strongly regulated by the FCC; not giving these
pornographers free reign of the airwaves."
"That CBS would besmirch the reputations of these rescue workers by airing
these moments of profane language should be enough to involve the FCC."
This is how liberals are made.

What would you know about that? You were probably just the little
sycophant who stood behind the bully feeling tough, knowing that he
could beat you up if you ever stepped out of line and stopped licking
his butt. Probably got a couple of spankings from the bully yourself,

defenceless, and I should never have had to learn how to fight.
Anything that prevents this problem is welcome.

Most bullying parents are the first ones to make any excuse why
it couldn't possibly be their kid, even & up to saying that the victim
and all the witnesses are lying.
Teaching bullies not to be bullies the first place is far better for
*everyone* than making other kids hit back.

Boy-oh-boy, does that hit home with me!
I recently learned that one of my HS bullies has become the
highest ranking officer to die in Iraq - Lt. Col. Eric Kruger.
All through school, all he could talk about was how much he
wanted to join the military... when he wasn't knocking books out
of my hand, pushing me down, or punching me in the stomach.
He never did learn his lesson, and now he never will. But he
leaves behind a 12-year-old daughter. Likely, before he died,
he taught her how to take a punch or two as well.

But he

How does it feel to be a failure?

fear. - Thomas Jefferson

So all you can ever do is demand that OTHER people die for what you want.
You're a murderous coward.

You've always got to wonder about someone who is as militant as J.
Young while sitting safely behind his monitor in the safety of his
home.
I'm curious, though, as to why Young would call Eric Kruger a "hero"?
Was Kruger killed while trying to save someone's life or did he merely
forget to look both ways before crossing the street? Aside from his
death, no details were given, but we do know that a few soldiers must
have been killed in mundane traffic accidents, while others have been
shot while just standing somewhere, and others have done something
extraordinary before being killed.
So it would be interesting to know exactly what Young's standards are:
it really isn't fair to people who really did do something out of the
ordinary to receive no more credit that someone who merely forgot to
look while crossing the street.

The second one.
Col. Kruger decided to jump into an armored vehicle, and go
prowling the streets of Iraq, looking for people to attack.
Normally, this task falls upon junior enlisted personnel, with
maybe one junior officer.
But Col. Kruger was a real gung-ho type. So, without any
consideration for himself or for his wife, or for his
12-year-old daughter, he decided to go on this run himself.
With such careless behaviour, it was inevitable that he would
neglect to see the IED that his truck hit.
They didn't come under fire. They weren't rushing to anyone's
rescue. They were just prowling about carelessly, looking for
trouble.
