Considering where, & how they did & do live, why would they not? Their
portion of earth is a breeding ground for things that are not easy to
explain. Sometimes, not even today, are they easy to explain.
BTW, you ain't seen nothing yet, we ain't done Charlie Brown. We have
Fins, & the entire artic region to play with.
walksalone who though not surprised at the quantity, hasn't noticed any
un-necessary [to them] ones yet.

An amazingly inventive people, the Finns. Perhaps it comes from living
in Europe but not speaking an Indo-European language: they may have
fallen into the habit of figuring out everything for themselves.

Yes. I'm aware of that. They seem to be also pretty much geographically
isolated. I should read more of their history.
