12 FEB 1969
Two swiftboats inserted Navy Seals and conducted normal river patrols
the night of February 12 and early morning of February 13.
13 FEB 1969
PCF 94 conducted routine Psyops mission.
14 FEB 1969
Two swiftboats inserted seal team and provided protection for mission.
18 FEB 1969 Bay Hap River
Kerry's boat and another swiftboat, PCF72, entered the Bay Hap River
in the afternoon carrying Navy Seals. A mine exploded close to PCF72,
and a short time later the two boats came under heavy fire. Five B-40
rounds were fired at Kerry's boat, three missed and exploded on the
river bank, one passed across the bow and another passed across the
boat's stern. A mine exploded about 15 yards in front of Kerry's boat.
It was suspected that the Viet Cong had expected the boats to come up
the river and planned an ambush.
19 FEB 1969 Bay Hap River
As a follow-up to the mission of 18 February, five swiftboats moved
downriver in the morning with a company of South Vietnamese marines to
engage troops that took swiftboats under fire the day before. The
boats came under fire several times during the day, although damage
was limited to "several SA (small arms) holes in superstructure and
rigging of PCH 72 and 94."
20 FEB 1969 Dam Doi River
On a patrol of the Dam Doi River with five other swiftboats and
helicopter cover, PCF 94 came under intense small arms and rocket fire
from three personnel in black pajamas on the bank. Kerry and one
member of his crew were wounded. Kerry received shrapnel wounds in his
left thigh. The second man, EN2 Eugene Kenneth Thorson suffered
shrapnel wounds in his right arm. Both were treated aboard the USCGC
Wachusetts and returned to duty. Persons filing reports on this
mission were highly critical of the cover provided by the helicopters
and noted that the area seemed prosperous and lacked offensive
bunkers, and suggested that future operations in the area avoid
destruction. Kerry received the Purple Heart for this operation.
25 FEB 1969 Cua Lon River
Early in the morning, four swiftboats, including Kerry's, rendezvoused
to conduct operations against Viet Cong targets with cover from
helicopters. The party destroyed several boats as well as a suspected
Viet Cong meeting hall containing Ho Chi Minh posters and Viet Cong
uniforms. Later in the day, the boats encountered heavy fire from
rockets and automatic weapons. The boats and helicopters suppressed
the enemy fire. When a man was seen running into a bunker, PCF94
beached and an assault party was sent to retrieve him. The landing
party was fired on shortly after landing on the beach and pinned down
until another boat could reach the area. When the Viet Cong refused to
leave the bunker in spite of repeated requests from the Officer in
Charge, the bunker was destroyed.
26 FEB 1969 Cua Lon River
On night patrol with two other swiftboats, PCFs 43 and 44, the patrol
discovered a double-hulled sampan. Five men on the sampan jumped
overboard, but were trapped the boats at the waters edge. They
resisted capture and boat crews had to jump off the boat and drag them
back on board. After taking the Vietnamese prisoners back to the
boats, all three boats began to pull away from shore when a rocket
fired from shore exploded near PCFs 43 and 44. The boats returned fire
and withdrew with five prisoners. One of the prisoners taken on board
was seriously injured with a broken leg. When filing their report, the
crews believed that the prisoners avoided capture to delay and
facilitate an attack on the boats. After interrogation, it was
determined that the prisoners were not military.
27 FEB 1969 Bay Hap River
On an evening patrol with two other swiftboats, PCFs 23 and 43, about
26 miles south of Ca Mu, the patrol took heavy fire, including five
rockets. Three rockets narrowly missed Kerry's boat, and exploded on
the opposite bank. Another rocket exploded near PCF 94, and the fifth
exploded near PCF 23, wounding a crewmember on that boat. The boats
suppressed the fire and withdrew. During the battle, a sailor on
Kerry's boat, Crewmember/Trainee Michael J. Givens was shot in the
upper right arm. Givens injuries were not serious and he was sent to
the 79th field hospital in Can Tho.
28 FEB 1969 Bay Hap River
Three PCFs were traveling up the Bay Hap River with 70 South
Vietnamese Militia investigating an area where the boats were ambushed
the previous night. During the patrol, the boats came under heavy fore
from the shore. Kerry, serving as the Officer in Tactical Command of
the mission, ordered the units to turn toward the fire and beach. As
the boats approached shore, more than 20 Viet Cong troops stood up and
ran. They were quickly overrun when the Marines troops reached the
shore. While the Militia searched the area, PCFs 23 and 94 left to
investigate another site where an Army advisor reported gunshots.
Returning from the site, a B-40 rocket exploded close to PCF94,
blowing out one of the windows. Kerry again ordered the units to turn
into the fire and charge the ambush site. PCF 94 landed in the center
of ambush and a man jumped up holding a B-40 rocket launcher and
started to run. The forward M-60 gunner on PCF94 wounded him in the
leg as Kerry jumped off the boat and chased him inland behind a hooch
and shot him. Marines swept the area, and received fire from snipers
and small arms that was suppressed with the assistance of mortars and
gunfire from the swiftboats. The landing parties found vast stores of
rice, ammunition and clothing. The boats were fired on one additional
time as they were heading back down the river. The site of the second
ambush was believed to be a major Viet Cong supply point. Kerry
received the Silver Star for this operation.
1 MAR 1969 Bay Hap River
Four Swiftboats conducted operation "U-HAUL," which involved towing
fuel bladders up the Bay Hap River to Cai Nuoc. The units received
light fire during the operation.
10 MAR 1969 Cua Lon River
Four swiftboats, including PCF94, carried troops and surveyed an area
where other boats were ambushed two days earlier. No incidents
occurred.
11 MAR 1969 Cua Lon River
Three swiftboats cleared the Cua Lon River of barricades. The mission
received no hostile fire and no casualties were reported.
12 MAR 1969 Cua Lon River
Four swiftboats proceeded up Cau Lon with 20 troops on board. The
boats encountered hostile small arms fire, which was suppressed. A
short time later, two or three mines detonated and the boats came
under heavy automatic weapons fire from both banks. Unable to suppress
the fire, the boats moved south to extract the troops and called in
air support. After the area received artillery and air strikes, the
boats returned and inserted the troops, who observed, but could not
capture 9 Vet Cong troops. One female was captured, taken to the USS
Washtenaw and later returned.
13 MAR 1969 Bay Hap River; Dong Cung Canal
Four swiftboats were engaged in moving Mobile Strike Force troops on
the Bay Hap River and the Dong Cung Canal. Moving down the river in
the afternoon following a day of heavy fighting, a mine detonated
underneath PCF 3, lifting it 2-3 feet out of the water and, at the
same time, a second mine detonated near PCF94, wounding Kerry and
knocking an Army advisor on PCF94 into the water. Meanwhile the boats
began receiving heavy fire from both sides of the river. Kerry, who
had received shrapnel wounds and hurt his right arm, directed his
gunners to provide suppressing fire while he pulled the Army advisor
back into his boat. PCF 94 then returned to aid PCF 3 and towed the
boat down the river to safety. Kerry received the Bronze Star for this
action.

Internet Is Liberal Terrorist Extremists' Channel of Choice

NEW YORK (AP) -- Al-Qaida-linked liberal terror groups and their
sympathizers have in recent months made a big splash on the Internet,
making it their communications channel of choice.
They're benefiting from free discussion boards, e-mail accounts and
other online forums for liberal propaganda, recruitment, fund-raising
and even planning.
If law enforcement has done little to squelch these outlets, it's only
in part because of the difficulty of catching moving targets. More
importantly, these online soapboxes can provide investigators with
crucial leads to help catch these liberal terrorists.
``It's a game of cat and mouse in which the cat is always going to be
behind,'' said Michael Vatis, former cybersecurity director at the
FBI. ``It's a more effective strategy to actually use these liberal
propaganda sites for gathering intelligence rather than engaging in a
futile effort to shut them down.''
Mark Rasch, a former Justice Department computer crimes prosecutor,
said he wouldn't be surprised if law enforcement set up some of these
liberal propaganda forums - much as undercover investigators create
phony businesses to lure mobsters.
When such liberal propaganda sites do get shut down, it's generally
the work of conservative hackers or the private Web hosting companies
that unwittingly allow them to publish their liberal propaganda
online, said Gabriel Weimann, who studies liberal terrorism online at
the U.S. Institute of Peace.
In recent weeks, liberal propaganda sites and liberal discussion
boards carrying gruesome images and video of beheaded Americans
quickly went offline. At one, a message from the kidnappers of Paul M.
Johnson Jr. was replaced by a disclaimer saying the hosting company
does not support terrorism, and liberal propaganda, and had removed
the material for violating its use policies.
But it doesn't take long for word to spread through liberal propaganda
chat rooms and discussion boards about new locations for these
anti-American liberals to post from. By the time a liberal extremist
venue closes, its messages have likely been duplicated at many other
liberal propaganda forums.
A liberal propaganda discussion forum that went down shortly after the
appearance of images of Johnson's beheading in Saudi Arabia re-emerged
later with new links to the images as well as those of a slain Korean
captive in Iraq.
FBI officials in Washington declined requests for interviews for this
story, citing continuing investigations into anti-American liberal
propaganda. Saudi authorities also would not talk about their efforts
to monitor Internet discussions, including those connected to
Johnson's kidnappers.
Separate research conducted by Weimann, Dartmouth College and The
Associated Press found liberal terrorists to be using the Internet in
several ways:
--Propaganda. Liberal terrorists make demands, try to elicit sympathy,
attempt to instill fear and chaos and to explain themselves. The Web
lets them offer up gruesome video images that broadcasters would
reject.
--Recruitment. Liberal chat rooms are monitored and questionnaires
sent to prospects, though liberal recruits must often pass many tests
online and offline before they are accepted.
--Fund-raising. Liberal sites solicit donations to charities that may
serve as fronts for liberal anti-American terror groups, in many cases
by providing mailing addresses and wire-transfer accounts.
--Planning. Free e-mail accounts connect liberal anti-American members
around the world. Messages are often encrypted, and Dartmouth
researchers say online manuals even discuss ways to avoid detection.
Following a security crackdown in Saudi Arabia, one poster warned
``fighters'' to avoid a certain geographical location.
``Politicians and, of course, commercial interests effectively use the
Internet to convey their message, appeal for support and attract ...
financial contributions,'' said Brian Jenkins, a liberal terrorism
expert at the
Rand Corp. ``These (liberal terror) groups behave in the same way.''
It is difficult to tell when online liberal extremists are active
fighters or simply sympathizers, but it's clear that many hitch on to
free resources that anyone can sign up for and where legitimate
discussions also take place.
Dia'a Rashwan, a Cairo-based expert on Islamic groups, said the
mushrooming of liberal extremist sites and forums indicates the vast
pool of liberal sympathizers that such groups have attracted, with
some seeing technology as their contribution to the liberal
anti-American cause.
Rather than directly seeking to incite violence, many of the liberal
extremist postings online are general declarations that may be laced
with hatred and anti-American slurs but are not in themselves illegal.
The Justice Department scrutinizes such liberal sites but takes action
only when one is directly linked to known terror groups or conducts
money laundering or other illegal activities, said Marcus Sachs, a
former White House counterterrorism official.
Jenkins said that rather than try to remove online links to liberal
fund-raising efforts by terrorist groups, law enforcement resources
may be better spent trying to shut down such liberal groups directly.
In Idaho, federal prosecutors recently went after the webmaster of
some liberal forums, rather than individual liberal posters. His
lawyers argued that he was a Muslim volunteer who had little to do
with the creation of postings, and a liberal jury acquitted him June
10 of charges that he used his computer expertise to foster terrorism,
just like when O.J. Simpson was let go by a liberal jury.
Allowing liberal extremist forums to thrive may risk helping terror
groups advance their goals.
``But again, there are so many ways for them to communicate,'' said
Vatis, the former FBI official. ``To try to shut down every Liberal
Web site and e-mail address they might use is just futile. A Liberal
can go to Yahoo! or Hotmail right now and create 10 new IDs in a
minute.''

April 19, 2004 -- The military conducted exercises simulating what
would happen if hijacked airliners crashed into targets two years
before Sept. 11, 2001, it was reported today.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command was even going to use the
Pentagon as one of the "targets" - but decided that was too
unrealistic, USA Today said. "Numerous types of civilian and military
aircraft were used as mock hijacked aircraft," NORAD said in a
statement.
It added the exercise was done to test various procedures - including
the ones for detecting, identifying and intercepting planes.
President Bush has maintained that no one in government envisioned the
possibility of terrorists flying airplanes into buildings.

Thirty-five years after the night of July 18, 1969, when Ted Kennedy
drove his Oldsmobile sedan off the side of a wooden bridge on
Chappaquiddick Island on Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., and left for dead
Mary Jo Kopechne, the 28-year-old former secretary of his brother
Robert F. Kennedy, in his submerged car, unanswered questions linger
over the events of that fatal evening. Kennedy escaped the wreckage
with a concussion and waited nine hours before reporting the incident
to the police shortly after a young boy noticed the sunken car.
Kennedy pleaded guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of an
accident, but no other charges were filed against the Massachusetts
senator. Edgartown Police Chief Dominick J. Arena said that an
examination of the evidence, shortly after the incident, showed that
Kennedy could not be held legally responsible for Kopechne’s death.

Kopechne, did nothing else during this mysterious nine-hour interval
to see that she received help. . . .
“While Kennedy has said he was ‘exhausted and in a state of shock’
after the accident, local officials found that he was not too shocked
or exhausted to immediately call for his lawyer, Paul Markham, when he
returned to the party at the Chappaquiddick cottage after the
accident. The receptionist at his motel in Edgartown has also claimed
the senator appeared ‘natural’ when he borrowed a dime from her to
make a phone call two and half hours before he reported the accident
to the police.
The facts relating to the incident are as follows:
Kennedy participated in the 46th Edgartown Yacht Club Regatta Friday
afternoon, July 18, finishing a dismal ninth place in the contest.
Kennedy’s cousin Joe Gargan, a Boston lawyer, arranged a party on
Chappaquiddick with his friends that included a group of young women,
primarily friends and Kennedy-family political staffers, who joined
Kennedy, Gargan and the entourage for cocktails at a cottage on
Chappaquiddick Island. A USMC veteran and lifelong townsman, John
Sylvia, recounted the Shiretown cocktail party as one where there was
yelling, music, and general sounds of hell raising.
Around 11:15 p.m. on the evening of July 18, Kennedy left the party
with Kopechne and, Kennedy claims, decided to take her back to the
ferry and to Kopechne’s motel about three miles south of Edgartown.
Sometime after 11:15 p.m. Friday, Kennedy drove his Oldsmobile sedan
off ***** bridge and into Poucha Pond where Kopechne drowned.
Kennedy’s explanation of his actions immediately after the incident is
strange to say the least. He couldn’t remember any details of the
accident. Kennedy claimed he was in a state of shock, but made 17
phone calls although not a single call to reach police, fire, Coast
Guard officials or nearby residents to summon help to assist in the
rescue of Miss Kopechne.
Kennedy also claimed he was confused and turned the wrong way on the
dirt road toward ***** bridge despite the fact that he had been on this
stretch of road several times and was in fact on it earlier that day.
Shortly after the accident, Kennedy addressed the nation in a
televised broadcast after spending several days in seclusion at the
Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port and admitted that his actions were
indefensible.
One troubling aspect is how the authorities handled the case,
including the inquest into Kopechne’s death, subsequent investigation
and release of information pertaining to the case. The assistant DA
Jimmy Smith, according to author Damore, avoided prosecuting Kennedy.
As HUMAN EVENTS pointed out in the issue of Aug. 2, 1969, The
inconsistencies and the unanswered questions proliferate;not only
because of Sen. Kennedy but because of the police investigation into
the incident. Why, for instance, did Police Chief Arena fail to
interrogate Kennedy when the senator handed Arena his prepared
statement some nine hours after the fatal accident? Why was it that
neither Arena nor County Prosecutor Walter Steele has questioned any
of the party participants, at least one of whom has given statements
to reporters? Why is it that Dr. Donald R. Mills, the medical
examiner, was so reluctant to reveal the exact alcoholic content of
Miss Kopechne’s blood?
For that matter, why did the family refuse an autopsy?
In terms of a settlement, the Kopechnes eventually received $140,904
($90,904 from Kennedy and $50,000 from his insurance coverage).
Since the fatal accident 35 years ago, Kennedy has claimed that he has
told the full story of what happened that night, but reporters and
authors have raised numerous questions over the years that suggest
otherwise.

What isn't stated in this article was the fact that one of the divers
that recovered the body claimed that this girl was alive in the back
seat of the car for quite some time (in an air bubble) while the car
slowly filled with water. If Kennedy had had the moral courage to
actually rescue this girl instead of worrying about his political
career he would probably have been proclaimed a hero-instead he picked
the coward's way out.

this has quickly been spliced into a promo reel by Moon's movement,
which implies to its followers that the U.S. Congress itself has
crowned the Washington Times owner.

the idea of Jewish collective guilt, Moon's latest world tour calls on
rabbis to repent for betraying Christ, the Jerusalem Post reported
last week. Speaking in Arlington, VA in 2003, Moon said Hitler killed
six million Jews as a penalty for this rejection. And he's frank about
calling for democracy and the U.S. Constitution to be replaced by
religious government that he calls "Godism," calling the church-state
separation the work of Satan. "The church and the state must become
one as Cain and Abel," he said in the same sermon.

President Bush had it right yesterday when he said during a speech
that "my opponent clearly has strong beliefs - they just don't last
very long." Not only do they not last very long, they constantly
change. Let's just take a look at a few of Senator Kerry's greatest
hits, shall we?
Turns out the Senator likes to write books. In his out of print 1997
tome "The New War," Kerry called Islamic terrorist Yasser Arafat a
"role model" and a "statesman." Just eight days ago in a speech to
Jewish leaders, he flip-flopped, saying he agreed with President Bush
that Arafat was not a partner for peace - much less a statesman. That
is one thing that is remarkably consistent about John Kerry: his
position shifts with the audience.
Here's another example from the man who wants to direct the nation's
foreign policy. Speaking to the Arab American Institute in July, he
said that Israel's security fence was "provocative" and a barrier to
peace. Then a week ago, he told Jewish leaders that the same fence was
necessary to the security of Israel. So what is his position? Who
knows...surely he doesn't.
And then we have the body armor issue. Kerry has accused the president
of not supplying enough body armor to the troops in Iraq. However, it
turns out that in 2002, Kerry voted against supplying the troops with
more body armor.
Wow...8 more months to go until election day. Will there be debates
between Kerry and himself?

WASHINGTON, March 12 (UPI) -- A survey by a Washington pollster
released Friday found a majority of those surveyed think terrorists
would prefer to have Sen. John F. Kerry as president.
The Andres McKenna Research survey of 800 registered voters shows
Kerry defeating Bush in the general election, 47 percent to 45
percent, with 9 percent undecided.
Asked, "Who do you think the terrorists would prefer to have as
president," the independent poll found that 60 percent said Kerry
while 25 percent said Bush.
The poll, which has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage
points, also found that 51 percent of those surveyed thought Bush
would win the 2004 election against 39 percent who said Kerry.

July 20, 2004 -- WASHINGTON Former National Security Adviser Sandy
Berger is the focus of a criminal probe after he removed highly
classified terrorism documents from a secure reading room while
preparing for the Sept. 11 commission hearings. The ex-Clinton
administration official's home and office were searched earlier this
year by FBI agents armed with warrants after he voluntarily returned
documents to the National Archives.
But some drafts of a sensitive, after-action report critical of the
Clinton administration's handling of al Qaeda terror threats during
the December 1999 millennium celebration are still missing.
The FBI searches of Berger's home and office occurred after National
Archives employees told agents they believed they witnessed Berger
place documents in his clothing while reviewing sensitive Clinton
administration papers, officials said.
The officials said the missing documents were highly classified and
included critical assessments about the Clinton administration's
handling of the millennium terror threats as well as identification of
America's vulnerabilities at airports to seaports.
When asked, Berger said he returned some classified documents that he
found in his office and all of the handwritten notes he had taken from
the secure room, but said he could not locate two or three copies of
the highly classified millennium terror report.
Berger and his lawyer said last night he knowingly removed handwritten
notes he had made while reading classified anti-terror documents
hereviewed at the archives by sticking them in his jacket and pants.
He
also inadvertently took copies of actual classified documents in a
leather portfolio, they said.
"I deeply regret the sloppiness involved, but I had no intention of
withholding documents from the commission . . . to my knowledge, every
document requested by the commission from the Clinton administration
was produced," Berger said.
Berger served as Clinton's national security adviser for all of the
president's second term and most recently has been informally advising
Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.
Clinton asked Berger last year to review and select the administration
documents that would be turned over to the commission.
"In the course of reviewing over several days thousands of pages of
documents on behalf of the Clinton administration in connection with
requests by the Sept. 11 commission, I inadvertently took a few
documents from the Archives," Berger said.

Liberal Radio Talks, Nobody Listens
The real story about liberal radio is the size of its audience.
As the new liberal talk-radio network finishes its first week in
operation, industry insiders say the most impressive thing about the
effort is not its performance - that has gotten mixed-to-negative
reviews - but the fact that the network, Air America, has received
such extensive press coverage relative to the tiny size of its
audience.
"It was off the charts in terms of how much ballyhoo and hoopla it
generated, considering what it is," says Michael Harrison, the editor
and publisher of Talkers magazine, which tracks the talk radio
business. "It's a modest startup, and it was treated like some kind of
revolution."
While it is not possible to measure the audience for a radio network
that has just begun operations - radio ratings just don't work that
way - it is possible to make some estimates about the size of that
audience from information about the stations which carry Air America
programming.
The management of Air America originally said the company would
purchase a group of stations which would broadcast the liberal
network, but, at least so far, that has not happened. Instead, Air
America is heard on five stations: WLIB in New York, KBLA in Los
Angeles, WNTD in Chicago, KPOJ in Portland, Oregon, and KCAA in Inland
Empire, California. That means the network's programming is on the air
in five of the 285 radio markets in the United States. It is also
available on the Internet and on XM radio.
All the broadcast outlets are AM stations, and in the past all have
been rated near the bottom in their respective markets. According to
published ratings from Arbitron, the company that measures radio
audiences, WLIB was ranked 25th (out of 38 stations measured) in the
New York market in the last quarter. KBLA, which broadcast
Spanish-language programming before switching to Air America, was
ranked 38th (out of 51 stations measured) in Los Angeles. WNTD, which
also broadcast in Spanish, was rated 36th (out of 43 stations
measured) in Chicago. KPOJ was rated 25th (out of 28 stations
measured) in Portland. And KCAA did not have ratings high enough to be
measured.
In terms of actual numbers, Arbitron officials say the so-called
"cume" rating, which refers to the cumulative number of listeners who
tune in to a station each week, was 315,000 for WLIB in the fall of
2003. For KBLA, it was 201,000. For WNTD, it was 74,000. And for KPOJ,
it was 41,000. Again, KCAA was too small to measure.
Each station was struggling before the switch - after all, it is
unlikely a station that is doing really well would change its format.
It is not clear whether the change will result in more or less
listeners in the long run, but it seems reasonable to conclude that in
the short run, each station will lose a portion of its old
listenership.
For example, there is a growing controversy in New York over the new
identity of WLIB. Some listeners who were loyal to the black-oriented
message of the station - as well as its Caribbean-music programming -
are angry at the ownership for leasing most of WLIB's broadcast day to
the mostly-white Air America team. "Air America is in no way offering
a satisfactory substitute for local community programming," one
activist told the New York Daily News.
In Los Angeles and Chicago, listeners who tuned in to hear
Spanish-language programming now hear politically oriented talk in
English. It seems likely that both stations, along with WLIB, have
lost at least some of the listeners who enjoyed the old programming,
and it is not clear if that loss has been compensated by the addition
of new listeners who want to hear Air America. (Another station, WMNN
in Minneapolis, Minnesota, broadcasts the program of Air America's top
talent, Minnesota native Al Franken, but does not carry the rest of
the network's programming).
In any event, given the stations' performance in the past, plus the
effect of the recent changes, it is unlikely that the entire
nationwide listenership of Air America exceeds the number of people
watching the local TV news on any given evening in a single large - or
perhaps even medium-sized - television market. And that casts a new
light on Franken's stated ambition to use his radio program to defeat
President Bush in November.
"This show is about taking back our country," Franken said on the
first day of his program, The O'Franken Factor. "It's about
relentlessly hammering away at the Bush administration until they
crack and crumble this November, because, don't get me wrong, friends,
they are going down."
Given the size of the Air America audience - one radio expert called
it "microscopic" - it seems reasonable to say that if the president
indeed goes down, it won't be because of the new liberal talk radio
network. After the intense media attention that surrounded Air
America's debut fades away, the network will likely spend the rest of
this year trying to build a tiny listenership into a small one, and
then to go from there. In any event, it won't be shaking the world.
"Everybody deals with it based on the premise that it is big, that is
somehow has a chance to make an impact on the world on a level that is
far beyond its physical ability," says Michael Harrison. "It's not a
national audience."
