Liberal Government Schools Fight Stupidity With Low-Carb Diet
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The government school monopoly here hates
having to prove that it's actually teaching our children, but now that
the pesky law requires that, it's trying to boost its chances in a way
that would make Dr. Robert Atkins proud.
Now that plenty of parents are apparently refusing to feed their
children breakfast as well as lunch and expect Big Brother to take care
of those bothersome chores, the schools will give pupils high-protein
breakfasts the days they take their reading and math FCATs.
"Any kind of advantage you can give a student going into that FCAT is
welcome. If there's anything that can make them feel a little bit
better and maintain endurance, we'll seek that out," Geoff McKee,
principal of Boca Raton High School, told the Palm Beach Post.
A testing consultant wowed the educrats by praising protein as a way to
increase energy and alertness. So long, dullard-inducing "sports"
drinks and pancakes. Hello, brain-boosting eggs and bacon.
"Naval ROTC cadets at Boca Raton High already served as guinea pigs for
the high-protein theory. Before sitting down to an academic competition
last month, the cadets munched on high-protein snack bars and swigged
milk. Their commander reported the team beat their previous high
scores," the Post reported today.
We can see it now: Pea Brain County avoids a repeat of its
internationally ridiculed election fiasco of 2000 by feeding sausage
and salmon to the condo commandos the morning of Nov. 2.
