Either way, it's a democratic seat. Lieberman says he'll caucus with the
democrats, so it's still a no lose proposition.

Isn't the GOP worried that fielding two Republican candidates in
Connecticut might split the right-wing vote?

You nominate a guy for Vice-President and a mere 6 years later you
suddenly decide he's a Republican.
You people never fail to amuse me.

Not me. I'm not a Democrat.

No, he decided he was a Republican when he decided he would always vote
on the Republican side of issues, supported this failure of a
President, and decided to run against his own party because of being
beaten by an actual Democrat in the primary.

I didn't like him when he was Gore's running mate he came down
strongly against separation of church and state, saying there was no
freedom from religion.
When you can't have your own freedom of religious conscience without
freedom from all the other religions.

Last time I checked he ran in the Dem primary.

And was defeated, one might note, because primary voters didn't see
the need to run a Republican in all but name on our party line.

Good. Now apply the principle to Lieberman, and he's a Republican.

Hm... does look like it's a safe Republican seat with Lieberman having 70%
support among his own party as opposed to only 36% crossover from
Democrats...
