Lies about my state |
I'm seeing yapping about Governor Blanco "not asking for help" in time.
Well, reality is, she requested federal help August 26th, the Friday
BEFORE landfall.
http://www.newschannel6.tv/news/default.asp?mode=shownews&id=8601
Here's the first part:
"Dear Mr. President:
"Under the provisions of Section 501 (a) of the Robert T. Stafford
Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 5121-5206
(Stafford Act), and implemented by 44 CFR § 206.35, I request that you
declare an emergency for the State of Louisiana due to Hurricane Katrina
for the time period beginning August 26, 2005, and continuing. The
affected areas are all the southeastern parishes including the New Orleans
Metropolitan area and the mid state Interstate I-49 corridor and northern
parishes along the I-20 corridor that are accepting the thousands of
citizens evacuating from the areas expecting to be flooded as a result of
Hurricane Katrina.
"In response to the situation I have taken appropriate action under State
law and directed the execution of the State Emergency Plan on August 26,
2005 in accordance with Section 501 (a) of the Stafford Act. A State of
Emergency has been issued for the State in order to support the
evacuations of the coastal areas in accordance with our State Evacuation
Plan and the remainder of the state to support the State Special Needs and
Sheltering Plan.
"Pursuant to 44 CFR § 206.35, I have determined that this incident is of
such severity and magnitude that effective response is beyond the
capabilities of the State and affected local governments, and that
supplementary Federal assistance is necessary to save lives, protect
property, public health, and safety, or to lessen or avert the threat of a
disaster. I am specifically requesting emergency protective measures,
direct Federal Assistance, Individual and Household Program (IHP)
assistance, Special Needs Program assistance, and debris removal."

You're a day late and a $ short. That's already been national news. And that's
the part that President Bush admitted was a mistake 2 days ago. He was the
first to admit that even if the wording wasn't perfect, that was no reason to
not react to a national disaster in the making.
But you don't ask for help 3 days before a *potential* disaster only in the
making and get a mobilization of the national defense department. In fact, it's
against the law for the military to operate in a state without the express works
of the state officials, whatever that means.
Mark, settle down, take a breather, have a beer, watch a football game. You're
starting to act paranoid if somebody like rambo wants to pick on you. We're
going to get thru this.

That's a very telling remark from Dung.
He cannot comprehend someone being upset about what's happening to *other
people. He's shown this more than once, commenting as if I'll "calm down"
if I just realize *I'm okay.
So much for caring for others...

Yeah, I could be sorry that I tried to comfort you. It's really strange to see
people like you that are so filled with hate that you reject comfort. You are a
good example of why I you atheists leave a bad taste in my mouth. No matter
what goes on, you're always ready to blame other, right or wrong, like President
Bush, or even myself.
It's tough to deal with people like you that see down when things are up, see
left when things are right. Maybe we should call it mental dyslexia.
Suck it up, bilbo. Resuce is coming to a close and recovery is starting.
People are going back into the city to see and search, to bring out valuable

He's a very intelligent President - working for America instead of getting a
*****.

I just believe in what the law says. If you don't like the law, change it.

Well, he sucks at "working for America" since he ruined your country
both economically and morally. He also made your country the laughing
stock of the entire planet. Maybe *he* should get blow jobs instead...
Besides, which business of yours is it what happened between two
consenting adults?
I forgot, you're a Christian...

4.9% unemployment and >3% economic growth is hardly economic ruin. And
the liberation of 50 million people from tyranny is hardly moral ruin.
