LISTEN UP YOU PRIMITIVE SCREWHEADS!!!!
Atheism is not a religion.
It isn't; many theists try and try and try to paint it into that
corner, and yes, people say atheism when asked their religion as a
shorthand way of saying. "I don't buy into that god hype at all."
However, it isn't a religion. It is disbelief. A special name for a
disbelief, only because the belief is so widespread and widespread.
There is many thing people do not believe in, say for instance, UFO
abduction or Santa Claus....Is it a specific "religion" for this
disbelief, NO! Disbelief is not a religion.

Science is not a religion

no more a religion than Voudoun is science. Science is a methodology
and tool; A tool for understanding the physical universe by attempting
to remove as much of the bias and assumptions of the observer as
possible. It has an internal check mechanism for overturning theories
by correcting mistakes. Science is well demonstrated in the science of
cartography. Each successive map is an attempt to refine on previous
one, an attempt to make a better model of what is actually there. When
confronted with an error, the cartographer does not scream heresy,
like religion does, but refines the model. It does not mean the
previous map maker were completely wrong, just a little more off than
the following generation.
So Science is not a religion, it is a methodology, stop calling it
such, or you will be treated with the scorn appropriate for someone
who lies.

Actually they have...it goes down to quality of evidence. The evidence
they present is nothing someone not extremely credulous, or mentally
in disarray, would believe except for the culture supporting it. The
evidence is just of the same quality of every other religion has to
offer. Actually it is inferior to to evidence to many supernatural
beliefs, because there is ample proof said evidence has been altered
for worldly reasons.
They have evidence, but it is flimsy, and given the claims involved,
frankly, laughable if not for cultural bias.

no more a religion than Voudoun is science. Science is a methodology
and tool; A tool for understanding the physical universe by attempting
to remove as much of the bias and assumptions of the observer as
possible. It has an internal check mechanism for overturning theories
by correcting mistakes. Science is well demonstrated in the science of
cartography. Each successive map is an attempt to refine on previous
one, an attempt to make a better model of what is actually there. When
confronted with an error, the cartographer does not scream heresy,
like religion does, but refines the model. It does not mean the
previous map maker were completely wrong, just a little more off than
the following generation.
So Science is not a religion, it is a methodology, stop calling it
such, or you will be treated with the scorn appropriate for someone
who lies.
