No, but your post gave me a lot to think about. Dr. Paul Kurtz visited with
an Atheist group I belonged to many years ago and I really liked the guy.
He just had "class." I didn't give Humanism all *that* much thought at the
time, but I now rather like the concept of a "Church" centered around the
tenets of Humanism. The word "Church" throws me off though (since its a
place of "worship"), and I thought Humanism was a strictly a philosophy.
But as long as Humanism isn't defined as a religion (and there's no reason
why it should) and someone comes up with a suitable substitute for the word
"Church," I'm game.

There's no point you replying to me any more: since you persist in posting
stuff that expresses utter contempt by the confusing and ugly way you lay it
out, I'm just gonna plonk you. Bye bye.

| Title: An Apology to Katt. |

In reference to Katt's post: "Looks like a fairly good idea to me...
(posted earlier today)
Wow!! Did you get me wrong! (But after reading my comment I can see why you
did.) First, I should have written, "I don't know" instead of "No." (I
still can't figure out why I did that.) But read the comment carefully. I
like Humanists. I admire Humanists. Like I said, Paul Kurtz was impressive.
The point I was wretchedly trying to get across was that I felt
uncomfortable with the use of the word "Church" in describing a meeting
place of Humanists. (Boy, would fundies have a field day with that one!) I
also tried to express the idea that having Humanists congregate in a place
called a church *would* gives the impression that somehow Humanism is a
religion (which its not!). I truly am sorry for the confusion. I meant no
ill-will by what I wrote. I am a horrid writer. (In fact, I am not writer
at all. Just someone trying to express an idea that is often very difficult
for me to express. I feel awful that my comments offended you.
Note: For the word "Church" in my original comment (given below), just
substitute the words, "meeting place." in the first instance I use it and
you'll get the flavor of what I was actually trying to get at. I *do* like
the concept.

I fail to see how his post warranted that reaction. Since your yeast
infection appears to be terminal, I'll follow the spirit of your advice
and put you on my plonk.

You do whatever you like, you misogynist arsehole (funny how the real
maggots always reach for a *sexual insult* first: *not getting any*, are
you...?). I've told the other guy before that his posts are hard to read. He
obviously doesn't give a ***** about his readers, so he can fucking lose
some. Welcome to the real world.

Well, thanks for showing me that the Mozilla Thunderbird plonking
shortcut doesn't always work properly. I'll remedy this shortly.
If you find his posts hard to read, here's a newsflash: don't read them.
Plonk him or ignore him, no one cares. But certainly don't waste my
short amount of free time by flying off the handle because other people
don't live up to whatever sort of fucked up elitist-idiot standard you
hold yourself to.
Goodbye, dear friend.

I read in this (somewhere I still have my copy) of her attending such
a group. Sounds like fun. In the UK we tend to take our secularism for
