'A home for a home'
By Jerusalem Newswire Editorial Staff
August 29th, 2005
A resident of Louisiana who chose to stay at home rather than evacuate
in the face of advancing Hurricane Katrina believes her country is
being dealt with by God because of the major role it played in the
expulsion of Jews from their homes in Gaza and northern Samaria.
Bridgett Magee told the Jerusalem Newswire as Katrina approached Sunday
evening that she saw the giant hurricane "as a direct 'coming back
on us' [for] what we did to Israel: a home for a home."
Magee, whose house in Slidell, LA, is just two miles from Lake
Pontchartrain, hopes the massive storm surge waves that are anticipated
will have dissipated enough before they reach her front door to keep
her home from being flooded.
While she insisted that her elderly mother and sister leave for safer
territory earlier Sunday, Magee feared the greater threat to their home
would come from the air pressure explosions that can flatten buildings
in a hurricane. She stayed in order to open doors and windows to keep
the pressure from building up.
"Unless one of the tornadoes - because there will be tornadoes in
the system - hit our house directly, I think I will be okay," she
said. There is no storm shelter in the house.
Magee said she trusted the Lord to keep her safe, and did not believe
her life was meant to end in this storm.
"I have asked God to pitch His tent of protection over my home. I
believe there are still things I need to do for Him with my life."
A strong Christian supporter of Israel, Magee, who is not a young
woman, has physically walked into over 100 churches in the New Orleans
area trying to find congregations open to hosting speakers from the
Jewish state - with little success.
Although still recovering from painful back surgery she underwent
earlier this year, she has bought her plane ticket for a trip to Israel
she plans to make with her sister in November.
Magee sees the coming catastrophe as something the God of Israel will
allow in judgment upon the United States for its central role in the
expulsion of 10000 Jews from their homes in the Gaza Strip and northern
Samaria.
Those expulsions, which began two weeks ago Sunday and went on for six
days, saw 10,000 Jewish men, women and children forced to leave their
homes, all of which, together with gardens, schools, shops and
synagogues - 25 entire towns - are currently being bulldozed into
rubble.
As the storm barreled down on the Gulf coast of the United States
Monday morning Israel time, CNN paused its almost continuous coverage
for a program break, during which it screened a one minute recap of the
Gaza withdrawal.
The piece ended with the dramatic words of reporter Matthew Chance:
"More than eight-and-a-half thousand people have now been evacuated
from the Gaza Strip. The era of Jewish settlement here is at an end."
Coverage of the destructive "fist of God" called Katrina then
resumed.
UPDATE: Called again on her landline at 6 AM, Magee reported there had
been much rain during the night but that it was quiet at the moment and
she had enjoyed "a good night's sleep." The power was out but she
had prepared plenty of extra coffee the night before.
"So I have made some backup plans," she laughed.

This is certainly religious fundamentalist baloney. If there were a God,
he/she/it would be punishing us for our atrocities in Iraq. Much of the
Bible was written there. The Exodus in the Gaza was mandated by the UN
and the Israeli Declaration of Independence states in it obligated to
follow UN resolutions.
The old bag can think what she wants. The US can expect more big
hurricanes as a result of global warming.

The article obviously was outdated by the time it went to print.

Just crazy.

Even crazier. If this is what she did she is dead.

Can you believe this? Hoard coffee and trust the Lord and you will be
fine.

ROAD MAP TO DISASTER?
As Featured On The 700 Club, June 26, 2003
"On that day, the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying,
'to your descendants I have given this land,
from the river of Egypt as far as the great river,
the river Euphrates.'"
Genesis 15:18
In Genesis 15:18, God made a covenant with Abraham
concerning the land of Israel. Now, America stands ready to
divide the lands God promised to the descendants of Abraham.
The "road map" peace plan is a U.S. sponsored "land for
peace" agreement that will force Israel to release control over
her God-given land.
Over the last 12 years, the U.S. has stepped up its efforts to
pressure Israel to give up her covenant lands, several times
sharing the spotlight with major storms...
OCTOBER 30, 1991
In a meeting scheduled by George Bush, Senior, Israeli's
and Palestinians discussed ways to achieve peace in the Middle
East. Opening talks focused on trading the lands of Israel for a
peace agreement.
That same day, thousands of miles away, a powerful storm
was brewing off the coast of Nova Scotia. On October 31st,
what would later be called "the perfect storm" smashes into
New England, pummeling the President's Kennebunkport,
Maine home with waves 30-feet high. A storm so rare, that the
weather patterns required to create it only happen once every
hundred years.
AUGUST 23, 1992
Middle East peace talks resume in Washington, D. C., the
issue remains surrendering the biblical lands of Judea and
Samaria in exchange for peace.
Hundreds of miles south, Florida is the target of the worst
natural disaster in American history. Hurricane Andrew tears
through with an eye more than 30-miles wide and winds up
to 178-miles per hour, leaving a 32-billion dollar disaster.
Nearly ten years later, JUNE 8, 2001
President George W. Bush sent CIA Director, George
Tenet, and Assistant Secretary of State, William Burns, to
encourage Israel to stop building in the settlement areas. This
was the Bush administration's first real involvement in the
Middle East peace crisis.
During that same 24-hour period, from June 8th to June
9th, the President's home state of Texas was flooded with
over 28-inches of rain. Tropical storm Allison, the worst
tropical storm in history, eventually dropped more than three
feet of rain on the Houston area and cost the state of Texas
more than four billion dollars. Tropical storm Allison
unleashed enough rain in its ten-day life to supply the entire
united states for a year.
In the past decade, uncanny weather developments have
gone hand in hand with America's attempt to back plans that
call on Israel to release covenant lands. And with the U. S.
continuing to support the road map, some Bible scholars fear
America will experience continued devastation, at levels we
have not yet seen. Bill Koenig, author of "Israel: The
Blessing or the Curse" said, "We know for a fact that God
gave this land, through the Abrahamic covenant, He gave the
land of Israel to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their
descendants and this land is God's land." He said the U.S.
should not consider such chaos a coincidence. "These are
warning signals, these are warning judgements to America
that this is [God's] covenant land and it's not to be traded for
promises of peace and security. This land is not to be
parceled," said Koenig.

In the early stages of the "road map" peace process,
America's weather catastrophes and recent violence in Israel
have competed for the headlines. That violence, coupled with
America's own battles at home, is leading some to question the
road map. Is there a connection between dividing the Holy
Land and utter disruption?
APRIL 30, 2003
The "road map" peace plan is delivered to Israeli and
Palestinian leaders. America is now positioned as the catalyst
to jump start the so-called "solution" to the Middle East crisis.
As U. S. backed Palestinian Prime Minister, Mahumoud
Abbas, is sworn in, the "road map" peace plan is set in motion.
That was on April 30th. The very next day, May 1, began
the worst month of tornadoes in American history - more than
five hundred in a single month. Normally, a thousand
tornadoes hit the United States each year. But this year, in just
eight days in May, 375 twisters ripped across the heartland of
America leaving millions of dollars in damage and 44 dead.
While in Israel, Assistant Secretary of State, William Burns,
told a group of left-wing activists that "common sense" will
override the conservative and Christian viewpoints concerning
the road map.
MAY 9, 2003
President Bush addresses students at the University of South
Carolina. Bush calls on the Palestinians to embrace the road to
peace and see the flag of Palestine raised over a free nation.
Hours later, tornadoes returned and Oklahoma City again
became the bull's eye for deadly twisters, reducing what was
left of businesses and homes to splinters and bricks.
The tornadoes of May devastated the Midwest with the
third-worst property damage in American history. Coinciding
with what may be America's most rain-drenched Spring in
history, on the East Coast, there have been less than ten rainless
weekends the entire year. While in the West, certain cropeating
pests are having their best year in six decades amid dry
conditions. And with the U. S. continuing to support the road
map, some Bible scholars fear America will see continued
devastation, at levels we have not yet seen.
Koenig warned, "The world leaders have attempted to
parcel the covenant land, so as Israel's property and land is at
risk, so is the property of the nation that's promoting the peace
process. And I might add that the greater the pressure on Israel
to give up this property, the greater the repercussions and the
greater the following events that take place afterwards." In the
Bible, the prophet Zechariah warned the nations who will come
against Jerusalem:
"On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered
against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all
the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. On
that day, I will set out to destroy all the nations that attack
Jerusalem." Zechariah 12:3, 9 NIV
"We have the nations of the world right now siding with the
Arabs and the Muslims. but we know God is standing with
the nation of Israel," said Koenig.
Is America playing a dangerous game? As the road map
peace process encounters resistance, the Bush
administration's determination to see it through has
escalated. Secretary of State, Colin Powell, on ABC
television said, "We have a plan, execute plan, keep moving
forward, not allow ourselves to be distracted and thrown offpoint
with the promise of a roadmap...punch our way
through it."
Up against biblical prophecies, Koenig says America is
standing against the very word of God and should expect
major obstacles. "I believe the Lord will allow these events
to happen that disrupt the peace process. As long as you are
going to have a terrorist infrastructure that's allowed to coexist
in the nation Israel, we're going to have a problem,"
said Koenig. And with those same terrorist groups opposed
to America's brand of peace, the future of the road map is
dim. Israeli's maintain they will be relentless to protect their
country.
How should we then view the current and future events
surrounding Israel and the United States? According to Bill
Koenig, "God loves the nation of Israel. He still, to this day,
loves this nation. He is in hot pursuit of the people of Israel.
Through these events, we look at the tragedies and we look
at the trials, but God is trying to wake up the world."
"And I will make you a great nation,
And I will bless you, And make your name great;
And so you shall be a blessing;
And I will bless those who bless you,
And the one who curses you I will curse.
And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."
Genesis 12: 2-3
".Now therefore arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this
people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons
of Israel. Every place on which the sole of your foot treads,
I have given it to you, just as I spoke to Moses. From the
wilderness and this Lebanon, even as far as the great river,
the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and as far
as the Great Sea toward the setting of the sun will be your
territory."
Joshua 1:2-4
"You shall divide it for an inheritance, each one equally
with the other; for I swore to give it to your forefathers, and
this land shall fall to you as an inheritance."
Ezekiel 47:14
