Why not? I'd love to be at that City Council meeting.

Man Asks To Name Omaha Street For Atheist
Applicant Says He's Protesting Boy Scouts With Move
POSTED: 5:04 pm CST February 1, 2008
OMAHA, Neb. -- An Omaha man said he wants to name a city street in honor
of the founder of the American Atheist Movement.
Raymond Zbylut has submitted an application for a commemorative street
sign on 108th Street between West Maple Road and Bedford Street. It
would be named for Madeline Murray O'Hair.
Zbylut said that he believes O'Hair is a hero to those who don't believe
in God.
He said that one reason for choosing to make the request to the city of
Omaha is that a street near 124th Street and West Maple Road is called
Boy Scout Way. Zbylut said the Boy Scouts have a history of
discrimination against atheism, and that he would like a street to honor
the woman who raised awareness that not everyone has the same religious
beliefs.
"Having our heroes and leaders put out for others to admire, or see or
say, 'Who is that? Let's do some investigating,'" Zbylut said.
Zbylut said he knows that many citizens may reject the idea because of
their beliefs, but he said he's hopeful the application will pass when
the City Council votes on the proposal on Tuesday.
