I certainly hope that Congress will find the time, between allocating
funds for Katrina and John Roberts confirmation hearings, to award this
man the "Medal of Honor". I am going to find out where can I contribute
to his legal fund; every decent person should.

Man Charged in Killings of Sex Offenders
A man who told the police that he had found his victims on a sheriff's
department Web site was arraigned yesterday in the killings of two
convicted sex offenders in Bellingham, Wash.
Investigators said the man, Michael A. Mullen, was upset by a child
abuse case in Idaho that involved a repeat sex offender.
They said Mr. Mullen, 36, telephoned the 911 center in Bellingham on
Monday to confess to a double killing in which a man posing as an
F.B.I. agent visited the home of three known sex offenders and told
them they were on a hit list and in danger.
One of the three left for work, and upon returning found the other two,
Hank Eisses, 49, and Victor Vasquez, 68, dead from single gunshot
wounds to the head.
After calling the police to confess to the killings on Monday, Mr.
Mullen surrendered to the authorities. He was arraigned in Whatcom
County Superior Court yesterday, just hours after the police charged
him with two counts of first-degree murder

fund". The guy has quite obviously confessed to 1st degree murder,
plus mis-use of a "Meagan's Law" web site, and deserves the maximum
penalty allowed by law. Maybe we can report *you* to the FBI for
providing material support to terrorists, or at least claiming you
will . :-)
BWT, one outcome of this murder will be demands to repeal "Meagan's
Law" and not allow data giving pictures or addresses of sex offenders
on government web sites. Personally, I think the government should
be held responsible for a "wrongful death" by putting up these
web sites - what happened was completely predictable. It was only
a matter of time before someone misused one of these sites and
murdered someone.
Also, it could have been worse - at some point some guy is going to
break into one of these sites and list an innocent person as a sex
offender, or some idiot handling the data entry will simply make a
mistake. What will you say when an innocent person is murdered?
Would you let the murderer get away with it because the information on
a web site was wrong?

He's a murderer. He killed two men who, while they may have
been desipicable, were also tried, found guilty, sentenced, and had
served their time. They were where you and I and the rest of society
had deemed them to be legitimately.
What part of the law here do you not like so much you're willing
to award a medal to a man who violated it with a henious crime of his
own?

department Web site was arraigned yesterday in the killings of two
convicted sex offenders in Bellingham, Wash.
Investigators said the man, Michael A. Mullen, was upset by a child
abuse case in Idaho that involved a repeat sex offender.
They said Mr. Mullen, 36, telephoned the 911 center in Bellingham on
Monday to confess to a double killing in which a man posing as an
F.B.I. agent visited the home of three known sex offenders and told
them they were on a hit list and in danger.
One of the three left for work, and upon returning found the other two,
Hank Eisses, 49, and Victor Vasquez, 68, dead from single gunshot
wounds to the head.
After calling the police to confess to the killings on Monday, Mr.
Mullen surrendered to the authorities. He was arraigned in Whatcom
County Superior Court yesterday, just hours after the police charged
him with two counts of first-degree murder

As for the Medal of Honor, that is reserved for members of the armed
force who, while in combat, show bravery and self-sacrifice above and
beyond the call of duty at great personal risk. About half the MOHs
given out are posthumous, like the two Delta Force snipers who
volunteered to cover a downed chopper in the Mog despite knowing there
was little hope of relief.
For someone like you to even mention this nation's highest award for
valor sickens me.

decades ago... she's CRUSHED by her father's murder. She had
forgiven him for past events, and they have had a kind, loving
