Man sets himself on fire to protest xmas... |
Man sets himself, Christmas tree ablaze to protest
KHSD winter break name change

The guy mentioned in the story above is my new hero. He hated xmas enough
to set himself on fire to protest it. He was ***** that the local
school district changed the names of winter and spring vacations to xmas
and easter breaks, so he made a sign saying "***** the school district and
the religious establishment," wrapped himself in an American flag, doused
himself and a xmas tree with lighter fluid and set himself on fire to
protest xian oppression.
So I admire the guy, but I wouldn't have set myself on fire. He had the
right idea, but I would modify it as follows: I would still have the same
***** the establishment sign, xmas tree, and flag, but I would decorate
the tree with little crucifix ornaments, drape the flag around the tree,
then set that on fire rather than myself. If I could work a nativity
scene, Santa Clause, and maybe a few elves and angels into the blaze then
all the better.

I don't admire the guy, I feel sorry for him because he's got some serious
mental problems to set himself on fire over the "relatively harmless" actions of
a few bigots that could have been dealt with in the legal system.

and Easter break? He should have just called the ACLU instead. An
obvious example of how non-Christians are driven to desperate acts by the
oppression of the Christian majority!
