Man shot and killed by Knoxville pig . . .

Authorities say 31-year-old Jerenimo Sanchez threatened
Officer Charles Lyons with a machete as Lyons tried to take
him into police custody. Police say Sanchez took off running
when he saw officers and Lyons confronted him, opening
fire when the suspect brandished the big knife. Sanchez
died at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

Lyons is on routine administrative leave while the shooting
is investigated
