There are a number of reasons cats can lose hair: ringworm and feline
acquired symmetrical alopecia (which is a fancy way of saying "cats
losing their hair") being two of them that can clear up with no other
action being taken by the person. Was there some particular reason
you
decided to not go with the "get to a vet" advice?
I already mentioned I wanted to "play" with nature.
There are other
things that can cause hair loss in cats that will result in the cat
dying. Looks like you got lucky. And, just out of idle curiosity,
if
the cat(s) had died, would it have been because a) you made a bad
choice, b) that particular prayer was unsuccessful for whatever
reason,
c) prayer just doesn't work, d) it was just "god's will" to call them
kittens home.
I wouldn't have waited that long.
Well, if that's the case, why medicate when you can just wait a
while longer
and let the body heal itself?
Because most people (and animals) don't enjoy dealing with the
symptoms
while that happens. Ever have a headache? A cold? The flu? Ever
take
any over the counter meds to feel better? Let's say you suffer from
angina. The doctor prescribes nitro tablets. They don't do anything
to
cure the condition, but it's much nicer than suffering through a
severe
chest pain. Such chest pains can also result in breathing difficulty
which can set off a whole 'nother set of problems (particularly in
the
elderly). So, they've received a medication that won't cure the
problem, but allows them to be more comfortable and can help prevent
other problems from occurring.
What are antibiotics for?
I try, but they laugh at my arguments even though I give them what
they ask
for every time. That's weird, huh?
And by the way. I have "done a little research". No, you haven't
answered my question. To refresh your memory it was, "Have you ever
done any sort of double-blind experiment to see if your power of
prayer
actually works in a meaningful way?" A yes or no would do just fine,
thanks.
Oh. No - I don't remember the question, and no, I have never done a
double-blind experiment myself.
