Marvin Gaye |
You know, I've listened to "Let's Get It On" to a ridiculous extent
lately. This song has some sort of power over a tipped woman in a
bar. Jukebox--Let's Get It On, "let's play" look and a finger point
produces surprising results around my neck of wood. I have become the
song when I play it, which leads to some sort of projection that tipsy
women seem to enjoy.
Was Mr. Gaye a religionist, or spiritualist? This particular song has
strangled me lately, and that's okay since there are results produced
to my personal benefit.
How many atheists enjoy Marvin Gaye, especially "Let's Get It On"?
Tipsy or not?

The day Marvin Gaye and Phil Ochs got married
The trees all waved their giant arms
And happiness bled from every streetcorner
And biplanes bombed with fluffy pillows

Far from it, though his father was a failed preacher (of the
ultra-whacko-fundy persuasion).

(Don't mention this to any of those drunk women you're picking up,
though. They might get the wrong idea.)
