Maybe Adam's Action was "for the best" |
Dumbfucks like Randy Snory like to tell us how certain seemingly bad
things that his fictional gawd allows to happen might not really be so
bad. After all, some good can come out of them, so perhaps the "evil"
event was really disguised good and was for the best.
But Judeo Xians only apply this to apology to gawd. Perhaps Adam and
Eve's defiance of god was also "for the best". After all, even
according to their story, a lot of good came out of it. Mankind gained
knowledge which he would not have otherwise had. If we hadn't been
thrown out of the fictional garden then we never would have left
childhood. We never would have needed to figure out how to fend for
ourselves, or invent or act as completely free agents. How could we
have self-respect when we were eternally living on God's Holy Welfare
Check in Heaven and the Garden of Eden? Adam and Eve's defiance of the
sky tyrant Yahweh was a supreme act of moral goodness and courage. It
liberated man and put the tinhorn Hebrew dictator on notice that we
would not accept his line of ***** without questioning it. Eve was
the first hero, and Yahweh the first despotic villain in that primal
myth. So to jack asses who look at pointless tragedy in the world and
say that it must be part of god's master plan for good, I say to them,
perhaps the alleged "sins" of mankind are part of man's master plan good
as well.

"It is fashionable to wax apocalyptic about the
threat to humanity posed by the AIDS virus, 'mad cow'
disease, and many others, but I think a case can be
made that faith is one of the world's great evils,
comparable to the smallpox virus but harder to
eradicate." -- Richard Dawkins
