Object: meditation
I had a friend into mediation, i way of seeking inner peace etc.
I had another friend who told ne of the indian destroyer god and its
destructive eye.
In my mind i linked these things and came to see certain types of meditation
as a way of destroying the things in our own mind we do not wish to see.
In 1984 one of the mantras was ignorance is bliss. Do those who meditate
seek ignorance or as they claim truth.
Anyway with a response is welcome to reply.

Liz, you like most people do not want to have faith in
things which have no basis in reality. -- josalt

Have you ever felt a deep peace while listening to music?
Meditation is a bit like that.
In addition, it is a help to let go of knots in the head, such as
hurts from the past that are no longer relevant today.
Some people do try to use meditation to escape reality, but this
simply does not work. If there is a persistent train of though
that simply won't go away, then the advice is often given to have
a good look at it. It might relate to a practical problem that
needs to be dealt with.

I must admit I am quite a tourtured soul, and whilst listening to music i
tend to rage inside.
I seek inderstanding thr rythym the passion or the pure escape. I am also
ansure of these knots in the head it seems that when i recall the past hurts
and injustices i like to laugh, often people think its because i brag,
mostly though its because it heals the hurt.

My emotions are often tied to the type of music I'm listening to -
Eminem makes me wanna kill my stupid-***** father, Bach makes me sleepy,
and the Doors makes me miss my bong.

Different thinking, different religions. The idle mind is the devils
playground.
In idleness with kind of back drop thoughts get erratic, but also the will
not to be idle. In so doing thoughts may flash into the mind of how to
overcome idleness, with the will to overcome new different thoughts emerge.
The nature of this inner peace i would like to hear more about. If the inner
peace is so good why would you do anything.
