Sorry. The website got caught in the aftermath of Katrina, Bob's

Do you still have that picture of me (Iain), as a vampire? I've

23! Dang :(
I am almost literally twice your age <sigh>
It's more like I'm mourning the final moment in my life when I might

and
so on.
Before the age of 20, aging is an optimistic process, as if an
unseen
hand is trying to implement a vision of a complete person : The
balls
drop, the stubble thickens, and the whole design becomes complete.
23 is a significant age because that's the time when you first
realise
that the difference between yourself now and yourself in the past
consists only of decay.
The unseen hand has gone away and now there's nothing happening at
all
except wear and tear. It's like the early stages of some deadly
disease.
Hm... now that I think about it, it *was about 24 or so that I did
the
whole "realizing I was mortal" thing. Which was difficult in some
ways
but, on the other hand, that teenage feeling of "immortality" is
often
what gets them killed...
Shoot, I didn't realize I was mortal until I hit 40 :P
No, you've got "mortal" mixed up with "mental."
:-P
<snorkle>
But, um, you better *run...
Too late! I already got him with the witchling's rubber chicken chucker!
:)
Next time he'll know to run *faster...
I was going to say, if he's smart there won't need to be a next time, but I
know that'll never be the case with you knuckleheads ;)

You obviously know absolutely nothing about this newsgroup.
I have some idea what's going on.
No need to feel under siege.
No need to lose humanity and decency.
Dimwit, you walked into a thread containing something we folks refer to as
"humor."
Look it up sometime won't you?
And you cannot humor me at all?
Who are you I should care?
Exactly!
Then you'll agree.
