Object: Memory and Identity
His Holiness Pope John Paul II has written and released a new book,
"Memory and Identity". Early reviews indicate that many of todays more
controversial issues are discussed with enlightening insights by the
Pontiff. A must reading, even for those who might normally be
predisposed to disagreeing with papal authority.

And then can compare the writing of the Pope with someone else who
thought he was doing God's work...

Ya know, with all the problems I have with His Holiness, I have to say
that really is uncalled for.
Especially considering the man was a victim of both Hitler and the Soviets.

Is it? He treats people with the same contempt that Hitler did.
Granted, he hasn't decided to start killing people. At least, not
directly. But his anti-sex anti-contraception anti-woman ideology
has a large role in the deaths of millions of people from AIDS.
Ignore the rhetoric and propaganda and look only at the results.

To say nothing of the human suffering and misery caused by many of the
catholic churche's policies and teachings.

Ignore the rhetoric and propaganda and look only at the results.

Exactly. The proof is in the pudding.

Ah, but what pudding ? Not rice, I hope.
