Object: Michael Moore: Guns Are Okay For Me, But Not For You
It looks like Spike Lee was right. Mr. Michael "Bowling for Columbine"
Moore's bodyguards do carry guns,
"Filmmaker Michael Moore's bodyguard was arrested for carrying an unlicensed
weapon in New York's JFK airport Wednesday night."
Well, well, well, could a man who believes that you don't have the "right to
bear arms" actually have a gun packing bodyguard protecting him? I guess as
far as Moore is concerned, there's one standard for all of us peons and
another standard for VILs (very important liberals) like himself.
Sure, Moore may think that "ordinary people" -- like YOU -- can't be trusted
to have a gun to defend your families. It's just too risky. Oh, but if
Michael Moore might be in danger, well that's a different matter all
together; he's special, you see, the rules that he wants to apply to the
"little people" shouldn't apply to him.
What a hypocrite.

Wrong. Under Florida law Gore would have had to show CAUSE for such a

Florida law allowed candidates to request a per-county manual recount.

Only with cause.

Why are you neocons such lying fruitcakes? Why do you cling to
politics of hate and corruption?

Just as I stated. No "cause" needed.

Cite the specific statute that allows for a manual recount without cause.

Is it your assertion that Gore wasn't contesting his loss? That he accepted

The law you cited makes NO mention of any recounts. That should

Agreed. However, what does that have to do with contesting the election?
That is done after the votes are tabulated and prior to the issuance of
certification for the election. It is because of such challenges that we
recount the votes because the losing party is saying that they have a reason
to show the results may not agree with the actual votes cast. You don't just
start conducting recounts because you decide to waste taxpayer money. You do
it because the results of the first count were challenged.
Now care to actually answer my question?

Sorry, but asking for a recount requires him to contest the election.
Otherwise what's the point of the recount? Is he going to accept his loss
even if the recount shows him to be the winner? If he isn't contesting his
lose then why would he want to ask for a recount?

That is done after the votes are tabulated and prior to the issuance of

Not in all cases, as Gore has indicated. You don't ask for a recount if
you're not contesting the results of the election.

Sorry, but asking for a recount requires him to contest the election.

You're lying again. One contests an election after the vote has been
certified and the winner declared.

That is done after the votes are tabulated and prior to the issuance of
certification for the election.

Wrong again, idiot. Contesting an election happens AFTER certification.

Not in all cases,

Stop lying.

You cannot contest a certification until AFTER certification,
and certification doesn't happen until AFTER the recounts.

Agreed. However, what does that have to do with contesting the election?

Fine then there was no need to call for recounts because Gore couldn't know
that he had lost the election.
Anyway you want to slice it, Gore lost.

Even if true, not relevant. The sad fact is that Albert Gore, Junior and
his team of legal beagles, utterly failed to prove that so much as a single
uncounted ballot existed. It utterly does not matter what existed in
fact. It only matters what Gore was able to establish in court. Gore's
team of beagles failed to establish anything significant.
If I were Gore, I'd consider suing David Boies for legal malpractice.
Gore case in Gore v. Harris was pathetic.

incompetent team of lawyers. Abert Gore, Junior lost his case because his

evidence.
